What hotels around Disneyland do you consider to be gay friendly?

Are there different requirements that same gender couples expect than opposite gender couples?

I'm very new to this industry and I would appreciate any sort of insight you can give me. Thanks!

That's really good of you to ask. I hope the answer is simply to be treated with respect just like everyone else...(and maybe some kickin karaoke)....but since I'm not gay...(sigh) I have to defer the response to the others....

Well guys?

It wasn't a "gay friendly" resort, but I can give a great review of the Best Western on 7555 Beach Blvd in Buena Park! It's right at Beach Blvd and the 91 freeway. Disneyland is 15 minutes away by the I-5 and Knott's is right down the street! Clean beautiful rooms, a nice pool, continental breakfast, and pretty much the cheapest I could find in the area.

The whole Anaheim area seemed to lack nightlife from what I could see (With the exception of Downtown Disney) but that's OK by me, I tend to be the one
in bed early so I can get in the parks the minute they open!

Now that I think back, it was sort of gay friendly.....

Every room had a silly plaque on the door proclaiming it was some famous persons suite. The first night I spent there I was in the Gloria Swanson suite, the second two nights I was in the Joan Crawford Suite!:scared1: Cant get much gayer than that! :cool1:

I can also tell you, I spent one day at Knott's and one day at Disneyland solo, and never felt odd at all! It was actually nice to do what I wanted to do when I wanted to do it!

Hmmmm how far is Disneyland from Las Vegas and Bette Midler?

My partner had an outstanding experience at the Disneyland Hotel. But that's no surprise, we've always felt like any of the Disney resorts has been happy to have us there. whether it was California, Florida, or Paris.

Everybody has nice things to say about the Howard Johnson's there in Anaheim but I would agree there is not much nightlife. Huntingdon Beach and Costa Mesa are not far though...

the second two nights I was in the Joan Crawford Suite!

Oooohhh, I'm Jealous -- and curious too -- did the Hotel do anything to the rooms to make them extra Joan Crawford-ish? Somehow I'm picturing "Don't fudge with me boys, this ain't my first rodeo" scrawled on the bathroom mirror in blood red lipstick... And I SO KNOW what had better not be hanging in the closet! :scared1:

I gotta admit I cannot really place Gloria Swanson. I know she's one of the glamour-dolls from the 1930's but all I'm flashing on right now is pot-pies...

No they were just regular rooms, the sign on the door was the only thing odd, or should I say GAY!
