Gay Days 2015 - Help me a Dad Out

ugh, those planes are the worst. What a waste of gas to fly the plane up for that nonsense.

It's so hilarious that people would go out of their way to NOT go to Disney because Gay Days is happening.
It's not the Folsom street fest or anything.
You can easily tell a young child if they ask why 2 guys are holding hands without having to introduce them to the birds and the bees. It's not that serious. If not at Disney, you could still run into gay people at your grocery store.

But, without asking the question, how would one go about discovering that it's not "like the Folsum Street Fest"? ;)

The OP heard some rumors that there would be inappropriate behavior during gay days. Instead of being prejudice and taking those rumors at face value, he asked people who would know the truth. So, he is blasted and insulted, told how to raise his kids, and its implied he's ignorant and hateful. Someone commented they hoped to never read a question like this again - as if asking for the truth instead of simply believing something negative is a bad thing!

I've seen questions on here about whether or not tour groups are really bad or what it is like during Pop Warner and no one freaked out.

OP I hope this thread doesn't scare you away from Gay Days!

Hello! I am gay and am going in November. Here is what to expect from someone that is gay and is going with another gay. First we go to the parks and ride on rides, we eat dole whips, get lunch, we breathe, talk, laugh, go on some more rides, talk to people, buy stuff, and have fun. Rinse and repeat the next day! Hope this cleared things up for you. :rotfl2:

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

One from me, and one from Ashley, who is on mobile and can't give a proper thumbs-up! ;)

He was going to Disney, not Hedonisim. What does a person really think is going to happen at Gay Days... at Disney... Seriously? If someone told the OP that it was Disney Caligula and he believed it, I have a bridge I'd like to sell him.

Frankly, I'm more offended with all the red shirts. Not everyone can pull of bright red.

What I'd really hate is Jersey Week. Now that's something to worry about.

Just read the article linked a few posts above. That was what he was worried about.

Thankfully, it really does seem all that is in the past.

I've been to WDW twice during Gay Days and honestly the park experience is generally the same as at any other time, except for the shirts which I personally find amusing. One thing to note is that the organizers publish the schedule for special park days, so if you are truly offended or suspect you will be for whatever reason, you can easily avoid the designated park on any given day.

Bottom line ... absolutely no big deal.

I think that person meant they look forward to a day when those types of questions don't NEED to be asked.

Pear shaped by page 2. Shame on all of you who do not get it, that the world no longer has time for your intolerance.
