Gay and single at WDW

Hi all.

I've been to WDW several times, but I've never gone there alone like I will be in September. I'm a bit concerned about doing this. (Unfortunately, I was supposed to be going with someone else, but they're no longer able to go.) Are there any types of groups for gay men/women that meet at WDW? Are there any tips that anyone could give me? I'm not necessarily looking for a full-time companion for my entire 4-day visit or anything....just someone to possibly have a drink with, or possibly dinner....or even someone to spend a day at one of the theme parks with.

Also, I'm nervous about doing this because this will be my first time traveling anywhere alone for a significant length of time.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I believe there is another thread (sticky) dedicated to upcoming trips to the world and possible meets with fellow gay Disboard members.

I've done a few solo trips at another park (Disneyland Paris) and found the experience wonderful!

That's a good idea. I'm sure I'd have better luck on DIS than I did on another site I tried. All those people seemed willing to meet....but for reasons I won't get into on here.

Iam going 8-15
And were trying to set up a dis meet while iam down.
There will be around 12 of us down that week.

I have some friends that are going to a clinic at the Buena Vista Palace on 14-15, and I might be joining them. All I know is that I really want to stay on WDW property, but my friends don't, so I probably won't be spending much time with them.

awesome! we will (hopefully) be in bldg. 5 - and should be spending the 8th at the Magic Kingdom, capping it off with a dinner at Citricos!

Wow! I thought I knew who you were.....and you were just messing with me.

-I live only a couple hours from Cedar Point, and try to go at least once a year.
-I used to march drum corps, and still go to shows. (I was supposed to go to Finals this year, but because of some drama those plans fell through.)
-And....well.....Disney is just a given.

Lets see.....

It's too hot at Disney
He sits on the park bench on the rare occasion I let him go to Cedar Point

And at Drum Corps shows all he does is hit the concession stand, shop for T-shirts, and checks out the parking lot to see which corps has the best caravan!
