Gatwick Hotel

Can anyone suggest/reccommend a hotel at Gatwick airport with parking available, only flown from Manchester previously. Many thanks

I would recommend Trumbles. Full English Breakfast and the owner takes and collects you from the airport (approx 10 mins). A great little family run hotel.

We use the Hilton which has 8 and 15 night parking deals. It is connected to the airport terminal by a walkway which we find usefaul for twilight checkin.

We usually just stay home and get the tube/train to the airport because we live in London, but since both parents are coming on the next trip, we are planning to head back to the hotel we used to use before we moved to London and could stay in our own house for free!

Anyway, it's the Ifield Court Hotel. Not sure what the price is like compared with everywhere else, but it's in Crawley, so just outside the airport. They have a shuttle that takes you to (and from) the hotel, and best of all, they have an up to 14days on-site parking, so no need to drive your car to the airport! They provide a shuttle to take you to the airport, and to pick you up on your return so you can collect your car. I do still have to inquire if we can using the parking facility, because of course all 14-night trips to Orlando are actually 15days because of coming back!

But yes, it's a lovely little old country house hotel, in the middle of the countryside, with fields everywhere you look. There's a HUGE lawn out back, a quaint little bar and the rooms are small, but reasonable. You are, after all, only sleeping there for one night, and if your too excited not at all!!!

We had always used the Hilton but last year stayed at the Premier Travel Inn and were so impressed we're booked in there again this year.

I think the Sofitel is the nicest hotel at Gatwick and very convenient as it's on the airport.
It is rather expensive though. We have stayed there a couple of times using Airmiles.

We stay at The Lawn Guest House.

We pay about £75 for a double room, full breakfast and parking for 7 nights. Much like Richard's recommendation, Trumbles, the owner will take you to the airport (5 mins away) for your flight as part of the package, and will also collect you on your return for you to pick up the car.
