gatwick hotel and which airline?

Hi All,

Long time since I posted anthing on here although I always look at what the rest of you are up to and love reading the trip reports. So, we are going back to Florida in September and have a couple of questions please. We are flying LGW into Atlanta and spending a week with friends there and then driving down to Destin Florida for a week on the beach, no disney this time but we are looking forward to being back in Florida. We have a couple of options with the flight either KLM or Delta, any thoughts on which airline you prefer, what is the inflight entertainment like and meals etc. Thanks. Also, we would like to stay overnight at Gatwick and would like a hotel that offers free parking, again, any that you would recommend that are the cheapest as possible! Thanks again.

I can't help with KLM/Delta info (though seem to recall Wayne has flown a few times with them), but with regards to airports and parking I always use Holiday Extras - they also have an email thing you can sign up to which occasionally sends me offers of an extra 5% off. As you're not going till September there will likely be plenty of time to get one of these - I normally see one every couple of months.

KLM/Delta are now the same thing, so just book with whichever price looks best.

We flew Delta (booked KLM website) last tim and the planes were really great!

Thanks for that. Their prices seem to be the best so will probably book with them. Do you know if you can get promotional codes to book with Netflights, I thought I had read it somewhere that from time to time they offer some discounts?
