Hi everyone, I just wanted to ask if anyone has stayed at the Sofitel Hotel Gatwick airport and what was it like. Im due to stay in June with DH,DS and DD the night before we fly to orlando and just wanted to know more info on it.

Thanks
Charlotte

We always stay there, it feels like the holiday has started once we've arrived. :yay: We have a family room for 5 ~ we get a double, 2 singles and a double bed settee and there is plenty of room for all of us. We don't eat there, we go to Frankie and Benny's for a meal, but we do enjoy sitting in the atrium with a drink.

We stayed there last year and it was lovely :goodvibes We asked for a runway view so we could see the planes, yes I'm that sad :lmao: The room was very nice and it was only 5 mins to South terminal. I'm really hoping we can stay there this year :cool1:

We always start our holiday off with a night at the Sofitel as well. It's a great hotel, nice rooms and just a short trip on the monorail over to the South Terminal in the morning.

We feel the same! And always eat at Frankie & Benny's too!!

Had a runway view twice now and I love sitting in the window watching the planes - and last year I could see all the Virgin 747s on stand before we left the room :thumbsup2

Would recommend the Sofitel (and its so much nicer than the Hilton!)

Its our choice when staying at Gatwick, definately the best we think.

Ask for a high floor runway view, or better yet book the executive floor for a bigger room.

We like the room service, the beds, but hate that they charge over £10 for a movie .... wont be doing that again! Dont use the bar as we drop into the terminal and pick up our bottles of drink there and take back to the room .... £3.95 for a small glass of coke is something I just refuse to pay!
