We will be in WDW in Florida (me, DH! DD11and DD9). Which would you recommend for a non park day - Gatorland or Wild Willys airboat tours?

We have done both, and loved them both (two totally different experiences). You can check out my Christmas trip report (see the link in my signature) if you want to check out our full write up and see lots of pics of both.

Its a much further drive to Wild Willy's (in St. Cloud) than Gatorland (which is right in Orlando). I am not sure if that is an issue for you.

I have fond memories of Gatorland when my husband and I went years ago. If you can appreciate true kitchy fun, then I suspect you'll love it.

There's something satisfying about tossing food to the gators and watching them go nuts for it. It is hokey but still a pretty cool place. I'd recommend it to anyone with a sense of humor and can relax enough to embrace their inner redneck.

But to put things in perspective, I'm also one of the first people to ask to stop at every weird and wacky stop on a road trip. My husband is good about humoring me but I'm sure I must drive him nuts.
