Gator Land

I was thinking of taking a look at Gator land with my DS,It looks pretty neat opn the web site.Has any one here been there,Is it worth the time and money to get there?. We will be with out a car,what buses go out that way from I-drive? thanks.

We went to Gatorland last summer and it was a nice 1/2 day activity away from the parks. My ds is nuts about reptiles so he really enjoyed it (especially when I was chosen to hold a python! ). My 3 dds thought Gatorland was just ok, but they did like the show where the trainers fed the aligators. There's also a splash pad area there, which was great since we were there in July. My 2 younger kids had fun running around, but it didn't appeal to my 11 and 14 year old.

Did you check out the webcam on their site? It's a fun way to see the alligators before you even get there!

All in all I'd say Gatorland is worth it if your ds is into reptiles, if you've done the parks before, and if you have the time. We had our own van so I don't know if there are any buses or shuttles that will take you there.

My boys loved Gatorland! They got to feed the gators hot dogs (bring your own if you can) and watch the show. It was a nice break from the fast pace of the parks.

My ds likes reptiles so that would appeal to him,how about getting there can you do It by bus?

We have been 3 times. My children and husband love it. Me not so much but it is a nice walk around. Got to ask questions that was interesting to me. I am not a friend of the creepy crawlies but the rest all love them. So I am a good sprt about it and tag along and get some great shots of the kids.
