Listened to a report today that says gas prices will continue to fall over the next few weeks and months to a "Possable" low of $1.15. :cool1:

The report was bassed on the oil commodities people "dumping" their horded stashes, thus making oil and gas more available. If that happens the oil commodities people will loose a lot of money.

I smell an "October Surprise"... popcorn::

Don't ever believe the oil companies will lose money. The've reaped record windfalls over the past year and will continue too. It's all about profit and with the right people in office we can make huge profits.

This is an election year, naturally they want there supporters to be elected. What better way then to drop your prices, we just think were getting a deal because prices have been so high.

$2.67

I also think it's just temporary.
But I''ll take it! :teeth:

Gas prices did not drop during the last few elections cycles.

$2.61

Muffycat don't know where on the island you are but Oceanside has gas for $2.46. I couldn't believe it!

I was refering to the people who buy and sell on the oil Futures market, not the oil companies. Oil companies loose money when the price they can sell gas at is lower than the cost to transport and refine it. That happened in the 80's.

This time I think the futures market will take a hit.

I saw 2.09 today :woohoo: isn't that so sad when we're so excited it's DOWN to 2.09 :sad2:

Gas around here is at about $2.24 a gallon!! It's so nice not to have to spend nearly $40-50 to fill up the tank!! My checkbook is veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery happy right now! :)

I think I need to move :D I live in South Florida and we're at about $2.79. We've dropped about $.30 in the past few weeks though.

It's in the mid $2.30 range here, up to around $2.50 at the more expensive places.

It's $2.49-$2.55 here. But I did find it for $2.45 on wednesday in Budd Lake. I couldn't believe I thought I was getting a bargin and had to call the hubby.
