With soaring gas prices, how will this affect your visit(s) to Disneyland? Will you go more often, if local? Or less often if you have to drive a distance? How about as airfares increase.... does that price you out of a visit? Just wondering how others are coping. As for me, even though we are AP holders, we will take fewer trips as we have a bit of a drive.

With gas prices getting higher that means that I will be spending less time on the roads. To accomplish this I will have to drive faster! :thumbsup2

not only gas but everything else going up has made it where we were only able to plan one trip in oct not two in oct and dec like we were trying to plan.

Well we have a drive to, our AP's expire in July, we are now considering not renewing because it's so $$ to drive. We don't consider flying, for our family of 4 that's just too much. So, yes, it will impact our visits to DL greatly.

Well it won't have any effect on our September trip because I already budgeted that in. But after that I don't know, I don't think we will go again until maybe next summer at the soonest.

It didn't effect our trip a few weeks ago, since I had been planning and saving for a while. We actually flew this time, and rented a car. So that probably was more costly (but way better) in the long run.

It may effect us going next year however. If everything is just too expensive, we may have to look at not doing the whole vacation thing. Which is why we did a whole week long vacation in June, and really made the most of it!

Yes. We willnot be making the drive across the desert as often. By the way, Si, driving faster cuts down on your mileage... Sorry to be the bearer of bad news...

Same here. Our APs expire in October and we have one trip planned for that month, then that's it. We talked once about renewing our APs but now with gas being so high, it's not going to happen. Not when we have a 5 hour drive to get there.

It's not just the gas, it's also the cost of food and hotels too. Seems harder to find a good deal anymore. :confused3

And flying is definitely out for our family of 6. Yikes. With so many airlines charging for every little thing now it's more expensive then ever and yet the customer service is crappy. Not worth it to me.

I will missing having APs though. :( So I'm just not going to think about that right now.

Add us to the list too...we originally planned on getting AP's and driving down every few months. But now we're looking at making 1, maybe 2 trips tops. At most we'll buy 8 day hoppers and split it up.

Nope, my budget for the trip is just going up. I did however cancel a summer trip (not to disney) because of budget reasons, gas being one of them.

It's not changing ours, but we go every two years. It is significantly changing my saving habits towards going though. We are definitely cutting out the stupid local expenses that we can do without (morning coffee at a coffee shop etc). It may end up impacting our budget for souvenirs while we are there too. I'm hoping that they drop the hotel prices a bit since this will almost certainly hurt their attendance.

It's definitely affected us...we used to go once a week, or every other week at most, and we haven't gone in about two months now because of gas prices. Not sure when we'll go again.

not changing for us at all. We are only about 35 miles away so not a big deal to us! That is about 2 gallons of gas round trip! We can afford that!

It's certainly affecting my decision on how I use my annual pass.

I live about 45 miles away and I like having an annual pass because I could just drop in for an hour or two whenever I felt like it. But with gas prices the way they are, I can't justify spending $20 in gas just to go hang out in the park for 1 hour. So now I'm taking fewer trips to DL, but spending more time there when I do go.

Don't be sad. It gives you time to save for your next AP, of course after the necessities.;)
