According to my frequently-consulted bookmark of Twin Cities gas prices, the lowest in the area is $1.88 and the highest is $2.20; a vast majority of the stations have been at $1.95-$1.99 for the past 10 days or so.
As of this morning the cheapest I could find was $2.07 with average being around $2.12...its been a few days since its dropped, so I'm hoping its going to go back down soon.
As someone else posted it was $1.86 in the St. Louis area but yesterday it went up to $1.99. I'm not sure why it went up. I think that the powers that be knew that I really needed gas yesterday. I got gas at a BP that still had gas for $1.89 but they were changing the sign as I finished pumping to $1.99.
I may be the only person alive who has no idea what the price per gallon is. I figure I need gas regardless of the price, so I fill up and pay up. All I know is that it was getting closer to $2.00 a gallon, but that's probably with 10 or 15 cents eaither way.
I just paid $1.79 in Vineland, NJ yesterday. Woohoo! I was near Vineland yesterday for a job interview (I live near Ocean City, NJ for anyone familiar with NJ geography), and that's about 10 cents/gallon cheaper than here at the shore (average is $1.87-$1.91 at the shore).
