Any husbands or sons ever go to the afternoon tea? I think this sounds fun for DD-11. I know I can just take her, but I think my son and hubby would like it, even though they may not admit it.

What time does it open? I think it would be a great late lunch.

We are staying at BWI CL and thought we could go to MK early then do tea and then go back to resort for some relaxing and hit the club lounge for evening snacks. Maybe get some pizza later.

I can't answer your Hubby or DS question, but I know that they start serving tea at 2pm every day until about 5 or 6pm (have read conflicting reports). I am taking my DD6, DD8, and MIL there during our upcoming March trip. This is also our MK day so I figured that we will go to MK for the morning and when it is time for us to head over to GF (have a 2pm ADR), the 6 of us will hop onto the monorail and go (DH and FIL are going to go onto the Poly to relax at the bar/beach) then once we are done we are all going to meet back up at MK for the rest of the day. I am so excited I can hardly wait :goodvibes

My DH and DS are coming with me in May. It will be our first time there and is a splurge for me. DS loves tea so he will probably like it. DH will probably be less than impressed.

We went in Aug with DS who was 3.5 at the time. He loved it. I will add that he is used to eating out and very well behaved in restaurants. Our server was so sweet to him he invited her back to the pool. LOL I don't think DH would have had as good of a time (not his thing).

Any husbands or sons ever go to the afternoon tea?...
I have gone to Afternoon Tea during multiple trips. We went as a family and had fun because of our two girls. Capture some good family shots and pictures of the girls.

I didn't care for the sandwich entrees but you can order a la carte, so during late visits this is how I order some select items to eat. Its a great place to just relax and take it easy...like a vacation. Besides the tea selection I also ordered: Specialty Drinks - Brandy Alexander, Champagne Cocktail, or Grand Mimosa.

While MIL, DD, and me were at Tea, my DH and both of the DS went to the counter service place at the GF, and then to the arcade. (Just offering an alternative)

However, while we were there, we did see several men at Tea, so I really don't think it is just for females.

The food there was really good, so I don't think you can go wrong either way.

I did the tea with my DH and FIL, but I knew that my DH loved going to afternoon tea.

This tea was the highlight of our trip....it is pretty pricey but worth it. DH ordered tea and a bowl of strawberries and cream, and I ordered tea and scones. Total with tip was $30.

I recommend going with your daughter and having 'girl time' while the boys do something else. Not knowing your son, I don't imagine that a young boy would enjoy it...but your DD will love it!

My husband and dad are coming with me and my mom this June for mom's birthday. They'll survive it. I know they will love the strawberries and cream and the scones. I don't think the sandwiches will be a big hit, so I'm sure the boys will order a la carte. I checked, and if they are not tea drinkers (DH is but dad is not) they can order pop. I know he'll look funny, but mom will be happy celebrating her birthday WITH my dad. He will have fun - I know it! :rotfl:

I have an ADR later this month at GVT. :goodvibes
DH and I use to go, and he enjoys it. Once when we were there the place included more men than women. Although one DH looked very bored. :lmao:
I have been in a group where our ADR was at 5. And they were open until 6. I do not know if the 6:00 closing is seasonal or not. I am guessing because we were the last guests of the day we each got a rose too. :)
