Garden View Tea Room?

Any idea or rumours of when / if the Garden View Tea Room will re - open?
We really liked the afternoon tea there!

I'm waiting for news too. Fingers crossed for my trip this summer as this is always my favorite but I'm not getting my hopes up

Same - we can make our reservations for July in a few more days, and I was hoping to do this again as I'm not sure when our next trip will be... we have plans into 2024 now that so many things had to be pushed out!

I'm patiently (well, not true) for the Garden View Tea to open. Went at least 5 times and love every minute of it.

Also waiting for the Tea Tasting Experience (can't remember what it was called) in England. Soooooo nice. Scones were delish. DH loved as much as I did.

I had a bad feeling that with the new cake/tea spot opening next year on the Boardwalk that the Garden View won't reopen (as a tea spot).
I really hope I'm wrong. It was one of my favorite things to do

I'm also dubious that it will reopen--when we were there in March they'd basically removed most of the furniture and moved a big TV in there and cast members were using it for staging of some sort to roll silverware into napkins.

Which would make me really sad, I REALLY looked forward to taking my kids here. It was a tradition that we started our stays here.

I can't imagine The Grand without afternoon tea given its Victorian theming so think GVTR's reopening is on hold for an undetermined time.

Staffing due to ongoing covid chaos is likely why, IMO.
