Garden View Lounge Afternoon Tea

DD is 11 and loves all types of tea, so we tried the afternoon tea for the first time this past November. DH said he'd go if there were some other men there (he was joking), so DD ran ahead to scout the place, and ran back to tell him it was safe - there were 2 other Dads there!

DH had tea and sandwiches, DD had Mad Hatter fruity herbal tea with scones, and I had a Diet Coke because I was too hot for tea - oh, I had the yummy trifle! It was very enjoyable and DD has asked to return during our next trip

We went to the afternoon tea on our last trip as a family and everyone enjoyed it so much that we're going again. It's a great way to relax after a busy morning of park touring. I had the gentlemen's tea platter followed up by some a la cart pastries. Delicious. The key thing to convince people to go is to ignore the tea and focus on the food. Really you're getting some sandwiches and pastries. If you don't like the sandwiches you can skip those and stick with dessert. There are enough hot and cold drinks available to accommodate anyone's taste.

The afternoon tea is great for adults-only. I went with 3 cousins, all female adults, and we loved it. I'm not sure many men I know well would get into it though. Kona at the Poly would be a good place to send the males for lunch!
