When are people placing their orders these days? Last time we used them was May 2010. I know I ordered in advance but can't remember when.

Are they still okay to use?

Yes, they are still okay to use. From looking at their calendar of delivery openings, it look like 4-5 days at least.

I placed mine the other day for a delivery not until June 15. I always do it early to get it paid for. They already charged my CC.

Yes, that would work well. You can go onto the website now and start your cart. It's part of the fun for me (how lame, I know). We've used GG for a number of WDW trips, most recently last month. We have always been very pleased with the service.

To add to this... has anyone purchased beer? I've never used GG but I would like to get a six pack of beer and one of hard cider. Do I have to be there for delivery or will they check my check-in status and see I am way OK to drink lol. If I have to be there what kind of window do they give you for delivery? There's going to be 4 adults, dh, me, ds/23 and ds/17 (6'2" size 13 foot hence 4 adults lol). If I had to pay just for them eating Disney food I'd be broke third day out. TIA!

Yes, I purchased hard cider, beer, and wine coolers from GG for our trip last month. I e-mailed a scan of my driver's license to GG. They delivered it to BWI before we arrived; bell services held our stuff until our arrival.

After I placed my order with GG, I sent them an e-message with my Order Number in the subject line. I explained that I ordered alcohol and wanted to confirm that there would be no issue. I got a response back within a couple of minutes asking that I send a copy of my ID by fax or e-mail before delivery. I followed up immediately and they responded with an e-mail saying everything was good. I LOVED not having to be at BWI to accept delivery.

My understanding with GG is that they will deliver beer and wine products but will not deliver spirits/hard alcohol. (I've never tried to order it, but that's from another DISboards thread.)

We don't check in until tomorrow. I used Garden Grocer and purchased beer though. I emailed them a copy of my ID. (Just took a photo on smart phone) I also inquired about delivery- they said I don't have to be there! I sent an email and got an almost instant reply, I would just make sure the ID you send matches the ID on reservation. Or if things are in different names send both ID's to cya.

Placed my order about two weeks ago for my May 5th arrival.

You can add beer/wine and other alcohol products to your cart and then you need to scan and email or fax them your ID. I used Drivers Lisc. They confirmed receipt. You do not need to be present as long as they have your ID

Thanks for all of the replies.... it would just be nice to have a beer in the room without paying $8 and having to leave the room and walk down to Trout Pass. I will be loathe to leave our two bdrm villa at VWL
