Any Canucks use GardenGrocer.com for grocery delivery to CBR ? Just looked at the prices and a case of water down there is almost $9 US and we can get two 24 cases for just over $5.00. Wondering if its cheaper to grab a cab and head to town for groceries and beer etc ?
Anyone have any thoughts on this ?

I haven't used them, but I have to agree with you. I looked at GG yesterday, and thought if prices were not to much higher that maybe I would do that instead of wasting vacation time getting groceries. We actually buy groceries, because we stay offsite! But I thought they seemed high, even compared to our prices!

We've put in our order with Garden Grocer for next week. When we did it for the first time in December, we got all our stuff from them as expected. If you don't want the hassle of going out and getting it yourself, its pretty painless.

BEFORE I GIVE MY OPINION ON GARDEN GROCER I MUST SAY THIS

THANK YOU!

ANYWAYS WE STAY AT ONE OF OUR DVC RESORTS 2 BEDROOM MOST TIMES WHEN WE GO. WHEN WE FLY DOWN WE SOMETIMES RENT CAR FOR DAY AND STOP AT WALMART BEFORE WE ARRIVE AT DISNEY. OR WE WOULD WALK FROM DTD TO GOODINGS BUT THATS A LITTLE MORE EXPENSIVE. I TOLD MY DW THAT IVE HEARD ABOUT GREEN GROCER ON HERE AND IT MIGHT BE BETTER THAN RENTING CAR FOR ONE DAY. I CALLED THEM TO ASK QUESTIONS. THEY GAVE ME ALL MY ANSWERS INCLUDING FREE DELIVERY RIGHT TO OUR DISNEY RESORT IF WE BUY OVER 200 DOLLARS WHICH WE USUALLY DO. THE PRICES ARE A LITTLE HIGHER THAN WALMART BUT WE DONT NEED TO RENT CAR OR TAKE CAB OR BUS WHICH MEANS WASTING TIME SHOPPING SO I THINK WE ARE GOING TO TRY IT FOR THE FIRST TIME.

OH AND BY THE WAY:rotfl2:GO LEAFS GO:rotfl2:

We've used Garden Grocer three times and will use them again on our upcoming trip. For us it beats spending time grocery shopping and they even picked up wine and beer for us. I'd highly recommend it and given the cases are 32 bottles of water for $9, I thought that was fair given I would spend far more in the parks. We bring a kettle and use it for tea and oatmeal and so also purchase the 4L jugs of water as well for use in the room. An alternate suggestion I've heard on here is to get Costco to deliver/ship water to the resort. Apparently it is about $7 and may be free delivery...check out the budget board, I'm sure the details can be found there.

Have a great trip!
