I know this question has been asked before, but I can not find it right now.:sad1: I was inquiring about using the GardenGrocer, need some experiences, good, bad, etc...We are staying for a week and are on the dining plan, however, we did not want to use up all of our snack credits on just water everyday. Any feedback would be such a help. TIA:)

We used GardenGrocer for our trip last year. They were awesome. I ordered snacks, bananas, water, soda, milk,oj,etc. to be delivered to our room at Poly. We started our vacation off-site to do Universal then moved to Poly. GardenGrocer called us at Universal to verify the time to deliver. When we checked into Poly our order was waiting for us and the cold items were kept cold for us. They brought everything up to our room for us.
This saved us sooo much money as we had quick breakfast items and drinks that we could just keep adding to our fridge as we used them. I would definitely use them again. Great service!

I used garden grocer last summer when myself and two other families visited WDW. We stayed onsite at Pop Century. What I like most about this online store was I went online and added what I needed saved it and the other families were able to go online and add their items too. The shipping was $12, but so worth it. I asked that my groceries be delivered around noon, it was. Disney kept them in their frig until my frig swap chilled (I was the first to use the frig.). Everything I ordered I received. NO complaints. My advise is to open an "account" with garden grocer and check on the prices (they have sales) and play with your list (if you have time).

In my 3+ years here on the DIS as well as other boards, I've NEVER read a negative review (i.e., a bad experience) of Garden Grocer ... or of Gooding's or WeGoShop for that matter.

A while back, I spoke on the phone with Brian, the owner of Garden Grocer. I'd read here on the DIS that GG was sold out for my arrival date about 6 weeks into the future. I called or e-mailed to ask about that, just in case it was a false rumor. Brian called me back and told me it was true. He said he didn't want to take my business because he was filled to capacity that day, and if he took my business it would risk lowering the level of service to his other customers that day as well as to me. I was very very impressed that he was turning down my money in order to assure the quality of his service. That really tells you something about him and about how good the service must be.

Thanks everyone for your responses. I will take a look at them on line. Appreciate all the feedback.

I notice you said you will be on the dining plan, so not sure how much you plan to order. Keep in mind that there is a $40.00 minimum order, plus $12.00 delivery charge, plus tip. Also, adult beverages to not count towards the minimum.
Wegoshop has a higher delivery fee, but doesn't have a minimum order requirement. Crunch the numbers and see what is more cost efficient.

I placed my order with Garden Grocer today and it was very easy.
I am going to call them and ask that the food delivered to my Villa as I will already be there.

Thanks mickdeb, I will try looking into that. We just wanted to get some water, yogurt, bananas, I am sure not enough to come up to $40.00.

I ordered from them last month for an early July delivery. I had a problem using the website which was resolved quickly with an email from their customer service, and my stuff was waiting for me when I arrived late at night on July 5th.
One of my 12pk of soda did not make it to my room (could have been lost at Bell Services or mistakenly not delivered). GG had another 12pk out to me within two hours of my phone call.
Very happy with GG.

Funny story--I checked with Bell Services at POR before calling just to make sure the 12pk wasn't lurking in some dark corner, and the manager Alisha was all ready to go out and buy me a 12pk. I told her no, it was okay, that it wasn't Bell Services fault and I would simply call GG and she said that if I had any problems to just call her and she'd have a 12pk delivered ASAP.

Wow, what great service. I don't think anyone has taken as much trouble over a 12pk of Dr. Pepper before!

We used them 2 years ago, and it went perfectly!

Just placed my order for next month, yesterday!:thumbsup2

P.S.-I didn't think it was too difficult to hit the $40 amount!:lmao:

We used them for water, beer, wine and a few snacks our last trip with gret results. :)
