Garden Grocer vs. Wegoshop

We have always used Garden Grocer with no issues. I am not overly particular about brand and preferred to go on their website and just click and add things to the card. Prices are a little high but I never thought outrageous. However trip this summer we will be using WeGoShop because they had the wonderful offer to purchase for $125 but get a gift card for $200, however it had to be used 6 months later and then within a 6 month time frame. We only eat breakfast/have snacks in the room but that $200 will be plenty for 7 of us for our summer trip. I am sure WeGoShop will be just as satisfactory as Garden Grocer as I have rarely heard complaints about either more just a personal preference for one over the other.

If alcohol will be part of your order, and if you don't want to wait at the resort to receive your groceries, then Garden Grocer is your better choice. They will accept an email copy of your drivers license as proof of age, and will deliver your groceries to bell services without you being present.

Wegoshop on the other hand requires an in-person ID check. This was a deal-breaker for us as we wanted the groceries delivered while we were out enjoying our vacation. My understanding is that wegoshop will also leave your order at bell service in your absence, if there isn't any alcohol.

No question either service is a bit more expensive than buying the stuff yourself. But on vacation, time really is money- and the savings of 2-3 hours we realize by using Garden Grocer is well worth the small premium we pay on our food costs.

We love WeGoShop. Have used them on and off since 2004 whenever we don't rent a car. Have always been happy with their service and delivery.

Did a recent study and here is my results on pricing. Cheapest was renting a car for a day and doing our own shipping, next was WeGoShop, then Garden Grocer, then Disney.

Disney is currently modifying their relationship with food delivery companies like they did with ECV and stroller companies. Authorized companies can leave your food with Bell Services, other companies will have to meet you.

How much do you consider for your time though? And convenience? Just wondering. :-)

We are regulars and WDW isn't going anywhere. At WDW we are on vacation, not rushing to another ride or attraction, standing in a 40 minute line for a 4 minute ride, been there done that. We often sleep in and enjoy the resort so we are different from most.

We have used the different grocery services and having the ability to shop when we want, where we want without errors is worth it to us. We might shop at Walmart for some things and stop by Publix for others, for a large group we go to Costco.

Usually we time our outings to have a meal off property and sometimes we go to the Disney Character Warehouse.

What is the Disney Character Warehouse and here is it?

Thanks.

We used WeGoShop for the first time in Jan.
Like the idea of making a list. I was very specific.
But they shopped at a different store than I specified and so we had a lot of substitutions.
Anyone know why?
I will ask before we try them again......we will for our Oct. trip.

We have used Garden Grocer 5-6 times, but their choices have gotten less and less and we can't find the items we really want anymore and their prices are too high.
