We are staying two nights at Pop Century and seven nights at WL. I'm trying to decide when to get our Garden Grocer delivery.
1. Does Garden Grocer leave packages with Bell Services at Pop Century? I don't see them on the list on GG's website and am wondering if we have to be present at delivery time.
2. Will Bell Services have any problems with transferring a full cooler with liquids and perishables?
3. Will lunch meat and yogurt keep fresh in a cooler from Friday to Sunday?
I am not sure about Garden Grocers, but have you considered a one day car rental? It has been our experience that it is easier to rent a car and go to the store on the day you change resorts. This helps for a few reasons:
You needn't wait on concierge to redeliver your luggage. (it will be after
4ish)
You can quickly grab the items yourself that your family needs, or has discovered they want after a few days at the parks.
The car care center on Disney property is easy and great to work with. In fact, we choose a park that has an early close time, to attend, the day I need to get the car. I get the family settled, hit the store, and never miss a beat. It also does wonders for me to have a quiet mom run in the middle of a chaotic week! lol Then, stop in at the front desk and register your vehicle for the evening. Parking is free. We load up first thing the next morning and check into WL. If, they don't have your room ready. They will text you when it is and will deliver your things to the room groceries/cooler and all! (We tend to vacation off season and have never had to wait at that resort for early check in.) You, or hubby can return the car and meet up with the group at the place of your choosing. Car care will take you anywhere on their property.
Now, as for those groceries... Yes, lunch meat and yogurt will keep if you are diligent to keep them covered in ice. Have you considered non perishable things before your store delivery, or run whichever you choose? We have found these things to work well before our grocery trip: Frito Pie, PB&J, Tuna, Micro Mac-n-cheese, soup... you get the idea. There are some great lists out there for brown bagging it. As for your yogurt, I would just purchase it there until you go to the grocery store that way you don't have to worry about it being crushed in your luggage. Hope this helps! Have a great trip!
