Do you have to be in your room for delivery or can they deliver to the resort front desk?

They can deliver to the front desk, you can add a tip, if you want, when you place your order. The front desk can and will store the groceries accordingly.

Thank you so much for your quick response! How early before my trip should I place my order? And do I do this on the website?

we love GG, used it 4 times, even bought a styrofoam cooler from em instead of renting a fridge, worked perfectly:goodvibes
we ordered a few wks before we went, dont wait too long, give them which resort u will be at,

:thumbsup2 Gardengrocer has always been very professional and helpful when we've used them. I always book online and leave a tip in case I'm not there.

The only problem I have ever had was with the resort losing my order. The guys at Gardengrocer were awesome. When I called to find out where my order was they told me it had been delivered to the resort. The resort couldn't find it, so I called gardengrocer back again and they were able to locate the person who had delivered my groceries and he was able to tell me exactly what "bin" it had been stored in at the resort. With that info I was able to approach the front desk and request that they check that bin, and lo and behold a miracle, there were my groceries....

(Very long story) We were staying at the Poly and they managed to put my mom's last name on the reservation, even though my husband and I were both there and we were the ones paying, which kept messing everything up and we kept having to get our room keys fixed, so when I called down and went to the front desk to get my order, they couldn't find it! Because my name wasn't on the reservationl.....:headache:

Gardengrocer was very helpful and were very nice and polite even though I had to keep calling them to find out where my groceries were. Make sure you take their phone number in case the resort makes a mistake.

Gardengrocer has never made a mistake in the many times we've used them. They have been very professional and helpful and the groceries were perfect! We buy things like water, muffins, cheese, fruit, etc and have never been dissapointed!

By the way, we were waiting in the room for our order but it didn't make a difference because of the resort messing up our room name!!! So being there or not isn't really important. If I had it to do again, I wouldn't wait around, I'd take the time and enjoy myself somewhere else like one of the parks.

WARNING: Do it as soon as you know your date. You can always change some items in the order, but reserve your space. Last trip, I tried to order about 6 weeks in advance and they were already sold out for my arrival day!

I read this on this board, and just to make sure it wasn't a malicious rumor from a competitor, I contacted Garden Grocer and asked. Brian, the owner, called me back at my home. He was very nice and evidently very conscientious. He confirmed that he was sold out for the day. He said he had only so many employees and so much capacity, and that if he took my order he would jeopardize the quality of the service given to all the other customers that day. Gotta love a business owner who puts quality customer service over profits!!!

I ended up using Gooding's (www.goodings.com) for that trip, the second time in a row I'd used them. I was completely satisfied with Gooding's the first time, but for my second trip I thought I'd try something different. The cool thing about Gooding's is that they automatically deliver directly to Bell Services, and Bell Services keeps your cold stuff cold for you if you aren't in your room when they call.

So does Gardengrocer. They take it to bell services and the bins are refrigerated! I had cream cheese, cheese, and cut fruit and they took care of it!

Yes. I should have clarified.

With Garden Grocer, you have to ask for that set-up and make the arrangements ahead of time. With Gooding's, it's the only way they do it. In other words, you can't request for Gooding's to deliver to your room at a certain time ... they ONLY deliver to Bell Services. That is, in part, why their service charge ($20) is higher than Garden Grocer's ($12 for most orders), because you don't ever have the opportunity to tip the Gooding's delivery person.
