Garden Grocer Delivery Question

I've read that Garden Grocer will drop off an order with Bell Services if you are not in your room when they deliver. Do you have to request this in advance, or do they automatically do this if you are not at your room when they deliver? Also, how do you handle their tip in this situation? Can you call them to add a tip or prepay it? I was even thinking about scheduling delivery for say 2:00-4:00 on check in day and of course we may not be able to get into our room yet.

Thanks for any information! We are thinking of trying this but I don't want to commit to being in our room for the entire delivery window.
 
I just called them...not sure why I did not think of doing that first! I will post what I was told, though, in case anyone else has the same questions. The customer service rep told me they try to deliver to the room and if no one is there they drop off the order at Bell Services. She said a gratuity can be paid in advance when ordering on line.
 
You can add a tip we you submit your order. They will give your cell phone a call when they are droping off your groceries. They will give your groceries to Bell services if you are not there to recieve them. Bell services has a refrigerator that they will store milk etc. in. We have been using GC for years now and always had great service.
 
I always leave their tip on the site when I place my order. There is a box for any notes you want to leave them so I always just say please leave order at bell services.
 

I always pre-give tip. Ive never left any specific notes about leaving it at bell services. But they always have, just with a quick call/msg on my cell phone to let me know where my food is
 
We've been using garden grocer for nearly 3 years now and can't say enough good about them. We pre-pay our entire order, including the gratuity and our groceries have always been delivered on time. We have them arrive in the window just before we land and just pick them up and take them home with us. At SSR, usually via golf cart! :thumbsup2 We have never had a problem with any of our orders, including adult beverage.
