We are planning to order 2 cases of water and some milk from Garden Grocer. On their web site, there is a gratuity to enter for the shopper, order preparer and driver. Do we need to enter an amount at the time of order and how much gratuity is appropriate?

What if we are not there when they deliver our order, they will just simply drop off in the Bell service, right? Then when the CM deliver the items to our room, we may need to tip the CM for doing this as well, how much again to tip the CM for bringing the items to our room?

This is our first trip to WDW, any suggestions to us will be appreciated. Thanks

How exciting to be going for the first time. We usually leave $10 tip since we order quite a bit. (water, soda, granola bars, laundry detergent, sunscreen, air freshener.)They will leave your delivery at Bell services. One time, Bell services told me it was not there. I called the GG phone number and they told me WHAT BIN THE CM PUT THE DELIVERY IN. The CM then went to that bin and there it was. We usually pick up our stuff at the Bell services/luggage area. One trip we arrived and our stuff was sitting in the room when we arrived.

How far in advance should you place your order with them? What about items that need refridgeration like milk etc? If they leave the items as Bell services or in your room are they left un-refrigerated?

You need to place the order as soon as possible, because they can only do a limited number of deliveries per day.

Bell services will refrigerate anything that needs it.

I thought there was a $40 minimum purchase?

Yes, that is correct. However, I usually have no problem making the $40 minimum with a case of water, juices, breakfast foods, snacks, etc. In the past, I have even played around with my online shopping cart to keep my purchases to whatever my budget happened to be.
I really can't say enough good things about Garden Grocer. Once you try them, you'll always use them!

Thanks for the info. I am going to order from them. How early should you order? I was thinking 2 weeks before we go but is that too soon?

We used Garden Grocer a couple of weeks ago when we stayed at Beach Club Villas. We checked in at 11:30 a.m. and I had requested delivery between 12 and 2. Our order was already there - and we were getting ready to go eat lunch since breakfast was at 5 a.m. before leaving for the airport - bell services told us to go eat lunch and come back when we were ready for the order to be delivered to the room. Probably 15 mins after we finished lunch the order was delivered to the room.

What I also liked about their website was the ability to create a "favorites" list - this will come in handy for our next trip - instead of having to shop again - I will be able to go to the favorites and create our order.

I placed our order about 2 weeks before we left - figuring they would be busy with summer visitors.

That's about when I placed my order last year. I will be placing one in about 3 weeks. Woohoo!

FYI Disney is now charging a $10 fee for any package delivered/mailed to a resort. So if you are only ordering water and milk you might as well get it from Disney by the time you pay a delivery charge to Garden Grocer, tip the bell hop, and Disney adds the $10 fee on to your room charge. Just some thing to think about.

would the 10$ dollar fee apply if you were in the room to accept the order? it would be the same as ordering a pizza?
we had gg in feb and there was no charge but I have read that they are charging some people and not others. Anyone know for sure what the policy is??

the above is not correct. I called disney they are charging for Packages shipped ups or similar a fee but not deliveries. I specifically stated GG and that I would not be there etc and the Manager of the resort assured me the only fee is if it is shipped in rather than delivered.

I had a little freak out lol I hate paying fees:rotfl:
