Garden Grill's food

I'm a little leery of the pre-set menu. Based on the menu alone, it reminds me a lot of the meal (with slight variations) we had at Liberty Tree Tavern Inn. The food at LTTI was only mediocre at best. Not horrible, but nothing memorable either.
Please put the great character experience aside, and tell me your thoughts on Garden Grill's food. Wondering if it's going to remind me of LTTI. Thanks for your help!

I am not a fan of LTT food. But I love the GG's food. It's not signature dining or anything, it's a simple menu, but it's good and we make it a point to go every visit!

Good to know. I guess because they both have a prefixed menu and have home-style food I was afraid I would find a similar experience (a not great one at that) that I had at LTTI. Glad to hear the food is better.

Garde Grill is one of our favorites. Excellent salad. Don't be afraid of the menu - it's a great experience!

We like Garden Grill a lot, but we also like the family dinners at Liberty Tree. I would say that the food at Garden Grill seems a bit fresher and less processed than at Liberty Tree.

The portions were plenty big for us. In fact, I don't think we cleaned the platter. We didn't ask for additional food so I can't comment on that part of your question.

I am not a fan of LTT (I notice a lot of decent reviews here on the boards, although I am not a fan), but every time we visit WDW, we make sure GG is on the list. Have never had a bad meal at GG and terrific character interaction. Have fun!!

We had the opposite. The server asked if we wanted more, and we basically wanted a half-portion of seconds, and he just brought a full extra dish.

Our meal at GG was one of the best that we had at the World last February. We also ate at LTT and enjoyed that, so maybe we just hit it lucky (Crystal Palace... now that is another story!). It was very slow in the parks when we were there so maybe that made a difference. I found the food to be fairly simple, but fresh and very tasty. We had no problems getting refills on any dish we wanted more of.

That was not our experience either. The portions weren't small and we had no problems getting more of anything!

We love the food at GG! And the entire experience. I'd have to say it's our favorite character dining, hands down!

Sadly, if there were not characters at Garden Grill, we would not go!

The food is really just very average. It's not disgusting or inedible, but it's not delicious or anything to rave about. If they removed the characters from that meal then they would have to do something drastic with the menu to get people to go I would think. We have been quite a few times to GG and the food has never been more than just average. We still go, because we have always had great character interaction and like the revolving restaurant, but we don't go for the food alone.

I've been to both LTT (when they had characters) and GG. I can say that the food is way better at GG than at LTT.

The food was ok, I loved the fish, but dont remember anything else standing out.

Have only eaten there once... but we were all quite pleased with our experience. Great food.... and reasonable for the quality.
