Garden Grill

Hi I was just reading on mouseplanet.com that the Garden Grill will be closed until June 25 and the ice cream social won't start up again until July 7th. Does anyone know this to be true? We where thinking of eating there in May when we go?

I'm pretty sure it's true. The Land is closed because of Soarin'.

Yes GillieRose, unforunately it is true. I called Disney Dining a couple of days ago to ask specifically about the opening date because it's my oldest son's favorite place and we eat there each trip. The CM said it would reopen on June 25. Needless to say I have one disappointed fellow on my hands!!!

By any chance, when you asked about the opening date , did they offer any information about any possible changes in the restaurant itself, such as , will they be going back to the original AlaCarte menu, as opposed to the "Family style" they have had since Nestle took over? We really miss the regular menu, and have only eaten there 2 or 3 times in the last 8 or 9 years. The concept of the revolving restaurant is great, but we just don't care much for the current menu.
