Garden Grill - what's up?

Thanks for sharing those super-cute pics, guys! I'm getting really excited about going now! Of course, I'm really excited about all things Disney right now! :yay: Too bad for me we still have 4 months of TN before we get to see the mouse. :sad1: I guess I'll just keep spending all of my free time on the Dis...:disrocks:

What date are ya'll going? More than likely you guys will get the dessert with the berries which we loved! You'll love it and if you don't get the manager and make things right! I've only had to do that one time (at Coral Reef). It was so horrible we left and went to GG! lol

Go...eat and enjoy!
Dont be put off by others. If this was appealing to you then you should go. We have ate their several times and while yes we were disappointed the last time, it was mostly in our server. The food was pretty good although not the best we have had there, but all in all we were content and will more than likly go back again.

for the food. The staff and the characters were wonderful. However, when we go to Disney it's all about the food for us. We were really disappointed, I thought at least I would like the catfish. Well being from Virginia, I know how to fry catfish but what they serve is more like peppered nuggets. (The salad was good.) Our family though is a bit more "out there" when it comes to food. I guess the food here was rather plain to us. However this being said, you'll never know until you try. We've been to other restaurants that rated bad and loved them.

We love it, and have had great experiences there. My DW loves the food, and it has become a must do for us.

The food was delicious. Besides the normal stuff they give, they also gave us the macaroni & cheese, chicken strips, etc as well too when we asked if we were able to have some too. My only small issue was the meat was still mooing- we're very well done type of girls (but weren't aware they automatically bring it rare) but the guy was really nice about that & brought us one that was well done. My friends were thrilled about the berry pastry (they wanted someone chocolatey though) but I loved it. I felt like a pig since I practicially licked all the berries & cream filling :rotfl2:

Definitely experience it. We really enjoyed the characters, one of my very favorite WDW photos is my DS's at 9 and 5 smiling broadly one on either side of farmer Mickey! Food was ok and was not our favorites (DS's are picky - the mac and cheese did not work for them and we thought the catfish was so-so). Have a magical time!:flower3:

I ate there a few weeks ago. It is a relaxing spot. The restaurant seems to give you a break from the hussle and bustle of the parks, while still in the park.

The turkey has been replaced with rotisserie chicken.

It's really a great character meal - but not everybody's favorite menu. I know that makes little sense. But, of all the character meals, I think GG has the best/longest/most personal character interaction. I also think the service is great, the CMs are pleasant. The atmosphere is unique and relaxing. It's just that not everybody wants to eat flank steak and catfish when they come to Disney.

However, the last time we ate at GG they were trying out a "new" menu. Can't remember the main dishes, but we had the creamiest risotto I've ever had in my life and a very yummy chocolate fondue. Everything was delicious. THEN people complained that they missed the old menu :confused3 SO they changed it back. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

When I look at the menu now, I just think there are sooo many places in Epcot that have much more creative menus, but then again they don't offer that great time with the characters.

It comes down to what your priorities are - food or fun. I think we'll give it a try again next trip.
