We were at LTT for the old character dinner back in July. We enjoyed it very much, including the food. Food was very basic but we really liked it.

On our next trip we are considering a character meal at Garden Grill at Epcot. How does the food compare to LTT? Is it generally along the same lines as far as quality and taste, or is it better or worse? I have seen such mixed reviews, and just wondering how the 2 compare since we enjoyed LTT and then we can make our decision from there. I know there are some items that are different than LTT, such as catfish, but there is also flank steak (there was beef at LTT too) and turkey. So how do they compare? My kids LOVE Mickey and Pluto and this would be a nice character meal for them. I also like the idea of a character meal without a buffet, like LTT was back in July. We did enjoy them bringing the food to us!

You will certainly get different opinions on the GG. From our experiences, the food and the service has always been good. The fact that they bring the food to you is nice, and of course if you want more of anything, all you do is ask. The characters interaction was very good as well, and that was with 4 adults and no children in our party the last time we went.

Personally, I think you are making a good choice with GG.

I really like GG but like PP said, you will get different opinions. I suggest looking at the menu and deciding if it is for you.

You can see the menus here and here.

Haven't been to GG in years it was good. We just went to LTT in Aug & it was good. It also depends what park you want to be in to.

We have always enjoyed Garden Grill----food is good and very comparable to LTT and character interaction is calm and awesome!

LTT does not have characters anymore, so go to GG if that's your priority.

Sorry, I re-read, and I guess you knew that already.
