I have never eaten at the Garden Grill ...Can you tell me some information about it? Can ten people eat together? What is this about the restaurant revolving around? Thanks! :Pinkbounc

We ate here on our first night of our last trip. We found the food to be very tasty.

It is a character meal with Farmer Mickey, Chip & Dale and Pluto. You sit in semi-circle booths, so I don't know about a party of 10 and what kind of acommodations they have for that. Maybe someone else knows. Characters came often.

Yes the restaurant revolves around the Land attraction. I have to say that was a little unsettling for me and made my stomach feel a little queasy, so I just tried not to pay attention to it. You really don't feel it moving, but if you look up you can see it moving.

The meal is served family style and they bring it to you in one big pan w/mashed potatos on the side. The potatos & gravy were very good as was the flank steak. You also get roasted chicken, corn on the cob, other vegies, & catfish. My kids also asked for some chicken tenders and fries (these are part of the kids menu), and even though my kids are 14 & 17 the waiter brought them anyway. For desert we got strawberry shortcake.

There were 10 of us, and we fit into one of their big booths. We had a 20-month-old and they put the high chair between the two tables. That put a lot of stuff in her reach, but we managed just fine. We are going back next year, and that's one of the restaurants we plan a return visit to.

I really enjoyed the Garden Grill. One tip I can give you is to request a seat on the lower level. There are two levels and you can see MUCH more of The Land attraction from the lower level. This is one of the most unique restaurants in WDW IMHO.There is MUCH food,it revolves,it is tied in with an attraction and it is a character meal!Big bang for the buck.:D

My boyfriend and I ate there on my birthday last year, and we came home stuffed as pigs! We got an apple crip a la mode for dessert though, not strawberry shortcake. We also had the option of the child's dirt and worms dish. (chocolate pudding and gummies)

(We got the kiddie menu items along with the other stuff too and we are both in our 20s. lol)

The characters generally make it around several times. You'll see them so often, you'll get sick of them unless it's really busy. I can vouch for that as I am "really good friends" with Chip and Dale and have worked at the Garden Grill a handful of times. In fact, I'm there tomorrow. :)

I was wondering about the salad--I read on allearsnet.com menu that the salad came with Ranch dressing. Does anyone remember if the salad comes already dressed or is it on the side??? I would bring a little packet of 1000 Island (I DO NOT like Ranch) if I knew the dressing was on the side, otherwise I would politely decline the salad.

This was such a silly little question, I'm almost ashamed to ask it.

I'm pretty sure the salad dressing was already on the salad and yeah I think it was a ranch type dressing. I'm sure you can request salad with no dressing on it though.

Must do for us. We go everytime we are at WDW, although this time we are trying the ice cream social. Food is good and fresh and the kids like the "dirt and worms" dessert which has chocolate pudding, crushed oreos, and gummi worms.

Get a fast pass for the Land before you eat and you can walk on when you are done.
