Mr. Barbanellie and I were up at 6AM this morning to book our only must have ADRs for our May trip, which is a Garden Grill PPO breakfast (and a BOG lunch, but that was super easy). At the moment, opening time at Epcot for May looks like it'll be at 9AM, so I wanted to book as close to 8AM as we could. We'll be staying 10 days, so I figured it wouldn't be too hard to find a day with a really early ADR time. The earliest I have seen on any day of our trip, actually the only ADR time that was available any day, was 8:30. We did book it, but I thought that was odd.
Is it because all the earlier slots were already completely booked?
Just asking out of curiosity, as this will not "make or break" our trip in any way and we'll enjoy our meal and our early start in the day, even though we won't get to any attractions ahead of anyone.
