I have a very picky 5 year old, who also has sensory issues. I am wondering can we get kid's chicken nuggets at the Garden Grill? I didn't see a kid's menu.

I don't believe so. The kids menu is chicken drumsticks. My son has food issues and sometimes I feed him before or let him just eat rolls and desserts. At Disney, I stopped worrying about what he was going to eat.

The kids get a drumstick or turkey plus sides. My DS also has sensory issues and used to be quite picky about his foods (he's outgrown it a little, thank goodness!) Last time we were at Garden Grill, he ate the salad the the roll. That was it! He still enjoyed the experience though. I just made sure he had protein that was to his liking elsewhere throughout the day.

I have a horrible eater. They have always brought him chicken nuggets when we asked. We will be in trouble if that has changed.

Hoping they will do this for us b/c a salad, drum stick, and/or turkey will not fly with him. He wouldn't eat a salad either unfortunately. Thanks everyone.

1) Last time we visited (Mar-2015), nuggets were not an option, just drumsticks.
2) WDW is trying to reduce substitutions as a cost-savings.
3) BoG was a test-bed for cost savings, and it is being taken well by most guests
4) The changes are beginning to be implemented around WDW at TS and QS eateries.
. . . on-line advance ordering speeds up the meal time and increases table-turns
. . . reducing kitchen labor by reducing substitutions
. . . reducing kitchen inventories and waste by not stocking/cooking substitutions

NOTE:
Menu changes due to allergies are on-going and sometimes expanded.
Menu changes due to "picky" eaters are being reduced.
It is good to accommodate.
But Disney does not want the (increasing) cost to be ALL Things To All People.

Will he eat mac n cheese? That what my son eats. He's autistic and very picky.

Do they offer mac & cheese as a substitution still? We're going in a week and none of my three kids eat drumsticks or any of the meat options offered. Thanks!

They have mac and cheese- Mum asked for a bowlful in March. I think it had goldfish crackers on top.

Yes they have Mac 'n Cheese available.
Out of curiosity - why did you book a dinner ADR at a restaurant where your children to not like the menu? Really - not being judgmental just curious.
Have Fun

We went last year and they gave DS some Mac and cheese and chicken drummy (even though he was 2). He still ate off our stuff too.

I'm not exaggerating, my son eats about 8 non-snack foods and the WDW lunch/dinner kid's menus only have chicken nuggets that he'll eat (He is in Occupational therapy to expand his diet so hopefully by April this will include more choices). So, I would really only be able to make my dinner ADRs at places with chicken nuggets if I was sticking to his dietary choices and that isn't fair to the other 5 ppl we are traveling with. (Luckily, he has many more breakfast options that he'll eat). Las time, we got groceries and brought a lot of his food to the parks with us, which may happen again too. Thanks everyone.

For me - it's because my kids don't like ANY menu! We refuse to cater to them at home, you eat what is offered, I'm not a short order cook. But on vacation, with the long days and hot weather, I'm the first one who admits to caving and giving them whatever they want to eat for the peace and sanity of not just me, but for anyone within ear shot of my kids!!
