Garden Grill @ EPCOT

Does anyone have an opinion of this restaurant? Food? Are there any characters? I can't seem to find anything about it on the boards.

We've been here 3 times over the years. All 3 times the food has been excellent, though a bit bland if you're wanting something other than Americana food.

The first couple of times we went we had fairly rude wait staff. The third time we went last year (first time in 4 or 5 years), the wait staff was much nicer.

I believe every meal is a character meal there, but I'm not 100% sure. They've all been character meals when we've eaten there. The nice thing about this place is that, since the restaurant rotates, the characters seem to be able to devote a fairly equal amount of time between tables. A lot of times in traditional restaurants, it seems just a few tables tend to monopolize characters' attention, leaving some people out until the very end of the meal. In GG, the characters seemed to come by at a fairly regular, but not hectic frequency, which allowed us to eat in peace but still see all the characters.

We've been there to eat a couple of times in the past. We always enjoyed it, especially the salad which was so fresh. Though there have been some negative reviews that I've come acrossed recently while I've been planning our ADRs for our upcoming FD trip in August.

I was trying to book it as I reached my 90-day mark yesterday, and I was told it was all booked up for the duration of my stay at WDW. So if you are going during FD, you may want to be aware that it's hard to get into.

The characters are Mickey, Pluto, Chip & Dale. The character interaction was pretty good, but we didn't care for the food - it was bland & unappealing.

WE ate there 3 years ago, and we will be going back this year for free dining! I like the food, think the interaction is great!

I was there last August and I was surprised how good I thought the food was. I'm not at all a picky eater either so there isnt much food I dont like either haha. I really like the place overall.

We used to eat there every year but after December 2007, we have not been back. Food was terrible! Hopefully, it has gotten better again and am considering trying it again but am a little worried.

We enjoy this character meal. They just serve dinner there. Chip and Dale are DD7's favorite characters so it is a must do for us. Character interaction in our experience it was the best we have had anywhere. Food was good, not great, but good. Certainly as good if not better than most character buffets we have been to.

We will actually be there Sunday night for dinner! Can't wait!!!

Thank you all for your responses. I've never heard about Garden Grill until my DW brought it up. Hope you have a good meal there, to those who are making their ADRs in the near future.
