Garden Grill Character Meal - Good?

I have ressies and June and look forward to trying this restaurant. We have been several times to WDW and this is one we have yet to do. I will have pics and a report when I return. But I am not real picky I get excited when someone else is cooking and cleaning. :rotfl2:

It's one of our favorites. We've had many character meals and we go back to GG almost every trip. I prefer family style to buffet.

We've been at least 3 times, and the character interaction has always been great. They usually stop by once for an extended visit for pictures, autographs, etc. Then as they circulate the restaurant, they usually come by and ruffle some hair or something as they pass.

I don't care for the layout/atmosphere of the restaurant. It feels very "isolated," like you're not even in a restaurant with other diners. I supposed some people like that, though. I also would not want to be sitting on the lower teir, especially when it spins around to the front. Then everyone in the Land Pavilion is staring at you while you eat.

That was one of my favorite points. My children are autistic. They can be loud and obnoxious. It was a blessing not being stared at for a change. When it turned to the front, its fun watching people stare at you while you are floating by slowly. I liked seeing how many noticed that we were moving. Just a different POV. :)

I agree whole heartedly! I didn't feel like DS was disturbing anyone or that people were staring at us when he was having a moment.

Exactly. Thank you finally nailed down for me why I didn't like being there. I felt like I sitting in a moving McDonalds. When I go out to dinner I don't want to feel like I'm at a fast food place.

The food was ok, the characters were fine, but there isn't much room for interaction with them. I didn't like our waiter at all. Plus it was unattractive inside the restaurant, and super, super loud, like sitting under a roller coaster loud.
