Hey all, "Long time, first time" here. What do you guys think about doing the character breakfast at Garden Grill in Epcot to get onto Soarin early or does the 3rd screen make it move fast enough? I tried to see if this has been discussed on other threads but no dice so sorry if I repeated or put it in the wrong thread. Thanks!

If Epcot has a 9 am opening and you head there immediately at open you shouldn't wait long.

One of the more common "entry techniques" ever since GG started breakfasts.

Used this exact strategy last December. Booked an 8:15 breakfast at GG with a 9:00 EPCOT opening. Finished breakfast (also met Chip, Dale, Farmer Mickey, and Pluto) and walked onto Soarin'. After that, entered Soarin' line a second time and waited less than 5 minutes.

The servers at GG are familiar with this strategy and if you mention you're heading right to Soarin' afterward they will happily accommodate. At least that was our experience.

In fact we did this at HS (H&V) to get to TSMM, and MK (CP) to get to 7DMT. Worked well in each park.

I use breakfasts to avoid rope drop where ever I can. Last August, this strategy worked for us. We were actually first at Garden Grill and were awarded with a group photo with all of the characters. They still all came to the table individually and signed books. A good breakfast. We were at Soarin by 8:40 is my guess. We were on the ride before 9am.

I did not know that H&V would help with TSMM (I HATE this walk in the morning). I thought they held you at the restaurant.

It worked well for us. I didn't see anyone being held up. Of course most people were heading to Jedi trading sign-ups. We had no interest in that so we took a leisurely stroll back to TSMM. It was a great morning.
