Has anyone eaten at the Garden grill for breakfast? What is the food like? Trying to decide between here or 1900 Park fare. Thanks

Im going to be trying GG breakfast for the first time this year. Cant wait! I've been to 1900 PF and honestly, it was just ok. The food or characters didnt really do anything for me to be honest. Although if you like the characters and more variety in food, 1900 might be the place for you.

I like how GG is more relaxed, no need to get up, the characters come to you...thats what im after. Plus i do love chip n' dale. :) They're super cute.

We had breakfast there in January. I thought the food was better than most of the buffets that I have dined at while in Disney. We really enjoyed most everything that was brought out. I didn't love the ham, but I'm not a big ham fan. The bacon, waffles, and cinnamon thing more than made up for this. We left stuffed.

Since it is a set menu it is easy to know what is available up front. They bring you everything on the menu and you can request more of any of the dishes. We paid out of pocket and the meal, characters, and restaurant were good enough that we would absolutely do it again. Garden Grill is my favorite character restaurant.

We're looking at GG breakfast as well. Anyone eat here before the park opened? Were you able to get on Soarin' first thing?

Ok, I don't want to hijack the thread, but now that I've seen ... Biscuits and gravy!!!! ... I'm wondering if I should change our lunch ressie for a breakfast one! We're doing a Behind the Scenes Tour at 10:30, so we could go either way.

We've never eaten here, and are very excited for the atmosphere, etc., but does anyone prefer the lunch over bfast, or bfast over lunch?

I am not sure if they still serve the biscuits and gravy. We ate breakfast here last week and didn't get them. Everything else was amazing though, and it was one of my favorite meals!

We loved it. The food is great and the characters are adorable and very engaging. I am also not really a cinnamon bun fanatic as PP stated, but theirs was really good.

I always read these threads even though the pics are always the same because I am planning to go in December. My son and I like to talk about how excited we are to have the CINNAMON ROLL AS BIG AS YOUR HEAD!

We ate at both Garden Grill and 1900 Park Fare for breakfast on our trip in April. Both were tasty with good character interaction.
1900 Park Fare has more variety of food, but because it's sitting out the quality suffers a bit. Nothing wrong, but it's a buffet. Characters were great - especially the Mad Hatter and Alice.
Garden Grill was a pre-park opening breakfast. Food was very good, hot and service was great. We were one of the first tables seated and got photos with the whole group of characters as well as many individual ones and multiple visits from all the characters. No biscuits and gravy, though :( They did serve Jungle Juice, though! We were done before the park opened and got right in line to meet Joy & Sadness with a less than 10 minute wait. Soarin' was down while we were there, but I would think that would be a perfect scenario to get on right away.

No that we've done the character breakfast thing with the kids, we probably wouldn't do it again in favor of non-character meals that had better quality of food (like Kona Cafe for example) but it was certainly a fun experience for our first time.

We haven't had breakfast there yet, but I do plan on making ADRs for there next week for our November trip. We have been to the dinner many times and can't wait to try this one. The pictures of the breakfast foods look awesome, looks like a really good spread...and anytime you have Chip and Dale at a meal is always a plus in my book :goodvibes.

Yep, it looks like biscuit and gravy has gone from the menu :( https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/epcot/garden-grill-restaurant/menus/

Being British I've never had biscuit and gravy before so I would have taken this as an opportunity to just try it. Oh well, another time.
it is gone from the menu, yes. My kiddo was looking forward to trying it too. I have mixed feelings, there is way too much food even without it but one less bit of variety. A lot of the breakfast buffets have it though so he will get to try it elsewhere.

Never been a fan of biscuits and gravy so won't miss it at all. Really looking forward to my breakfast at GG though:)

This is our plan. We have a reservation for 8:05 , but I dont know if we can be done before the rope drop crowd gets to Soarin.

Sorry for the hijack but wondering for those who have eaten here and have motion sick problems did they have any issues with the restaurant revolving.

I know it's slow and all but wondering because DD really wants to eat here but I get motion sick easily and am a bit hesitant. It's only the two of us on this trip so thought I'd ask. (I had to leave the restaurant at the Marriott in Times Square that slowly revolved!):crazy2:

Well I think this thread has convinced me to book breakfast instead of lunch. DW is a breakfast lover and I can use this to entice her out of bed early...hopefully.

ETA - can you get regular syrup for the waffles? While chocolate -hazelnut would be grand, I'm allergic to tree nuts.
