Has anyone tried the buffets at the Garden Gallery at the Shades of Green? I think they have 3 different buffets on different nights. I know one is a seafood buffet and one is a country buffet. Not sure about the third one.

we did but I think it was 3 yrs ago, they may have changed them by now. I think every night was a different theme. I remember seafood and barbeque, not sure about anything else. Some of them we liked, others we didn't. The breakfast wasn't great, just a couple pastry/muffin choices, some cereals, and I think scrambled eggs and a meat. There wasn't anything like omletts or eggs cooked to order. There was probably some kind of pancake or waffle. I remember some fruits in a basket, apples, bannanas, etc. The price at the time for the dinner's was good, I've heard it's since been raised. We didn't try the Italian place, my kids weren't into that type of restaurant at the time. They also had a grab and go place by the bus stop that had muffins, coffee, sandwiches, snack type stuff, and a bx type place that had decent prices.

Read the menu for the buffets and the seafood sounds good. We really like crab legs. Reading a menu doesn't tell you how good the food actually is. Would like to read some reviews.

I don't remember anyone being very impressed with the seafood. I hate seafood and am allergic to shellfish, but my mom loves it. She said it was alright, but nothing great. Back then the price was good, but I've heard it's gone up in the past year. I don't know if they were real crab legs or the imitation stuff, mama doesn't remember and I didn't go near them. I do remember the kid's area of all the buffets wasn't to good either.

Well, IMHO if you are used to eating at the restaurants in WDW, you may be disappointed. DH and I don't like the food at SOG. I must say though, I love waffles and you make your own at breakfast. I loved breakfast, but the buffets left a lot to be desired. We did eat in the Italian restaurant and felt it was overpriced and not good. We like to get a quick bite at the Evergreen. Others will disagree, but we always eat at WDW or the Olive Garden just outside DTD.

we ate a few times at Evergreen's and it wasn't bad at all. I think we mostly had lunch, and pizza one night. I remember it being pretty empty at lunch. We were there the 2nd week of Sept, I think, and the parks were dead that week also.
