Obviously, the whole point of having the girls get this vaccine when they're so young is to try to stop them from getting the virus when they're older. That's all. Why is that so hard to understand????
Whether you let her have it or not is your decision, and don't let people and their "opinions" cloud yours.
I like how some people here are oblivious to what's going on with kids nowadays.
Kids are reaching puberty younger and yes, kids are having sex younger. Just because they're not having contact in class, does not mean they're not doing things in between class or even skipping class to have it.
It doesn't matter how open or close you are with your kids. They'll still do what they feel like or peer pressured into doing. And if you don't know how important (or remember from when you were young) it is to kids to "fit in", then you're clearly came from an era where you had to walk 20 miles uphill in the snow, barefoot to get to school.
They don't have to be "bad girls" to do this, but they're surrounded with images and media that tells them "it's cool". Miss Jamie Lynn is a perfect example of what I mean. Stop being so naive!
For those who refuse to get their kids the basic immunizations, don't go looking for sympathy when your child catches those diseases.
