We bought our first house a few months ago, and we have a large 2.5 car garage. My DH has "claimed" all areas in the garage that aren't occupied by cars, lawnmower, yard equipment or Craftsman tool chests.

We set a $50 limit this Christmas, and I would love to get him some crazy garage-themed gift. FWIW, he has every tool known to man and then some. He also already has a pretty expensive Craftsman outdoor radio. I was thinking space heater, but that isn't fun at all... is it?

What is a fun toy a man would like to have to "play" with in his garage?

DH has a dart board in the garage. We just back the cars out when he wants to play.

Hubby has a small fridge for drinks in his shop too. Loves it, he doesnt have to come in house all dirty for a beer. Heck.. I love that haha!

I think a heater is a good idea.

How bout a remote control something or other like a car, hummer, etc.:rotfl: Those are the kind of "toys" dh and my dad always liked. Or they had a round sawblade clock for the wall. Thats not a fun thing though;)

Mini fridge and beer of the month subscription? BTW, I think a space heater in Michigan sounds really "fun".:)

DO you have enough lighting in the garage - my DH added 4 sets of florescent lights to our garage this summer. He LOVES being able to see what he is doing, especially at night. NOTE: My DH would have loved this as a present...last year:thumbsup2

One year - we got DH a set of plastic stencils with our last name on them. I think we got them from here: We used to have a hard time with garbage cans disappearing. Not anymore!:lmao: DH als uses this for anything that gets used in a "community setting" ie our hand truck, ladders etc. These are probably in the $20-25 range...depending on how long your last name is!

What about a soda can crusher. This was another thing my husband went nuts over. We got a wall mounted one. He and DD would go out every week or two and cruch our cans.

An air compressor would probably run about $100-150, so probably out of your limit. I'm not sure what a battery charger-thing would cost, I'm guessing $75 or so. But - I ma just mentioning them in case there is a good deal on them. THose are other fun things that DH has received throughout the years.

What about trouble lights - even though DH has lots of lights for his garage - he still likes the trouble lights, especially when he is doind something car-related.

You could probably get a nice hand truck for around $50 - I gave DH one a few years ago, but I've probably used it more than he has.

Now - I'm going out on a limb here, but since someone suggested a creeper - what about car-floor jacks?

What about a big piece of pegboard and some hooks, so he can hang his tools?

The other thing DH would like for our garage - but it is not happeneing this christmas is a nice battery operated clock that he can see from far away. Preferably in a John Deere motif.
