Gamecube, Xbox or PS2????

We have an XBox and love it - I have played a Playstation and they are good, we just chose the XBox from reviews I had gotten from others that they preferred it.

XBox: Superior graphics, superior sound, build in hard drive (little need for memory cards), and a ton of games, not as many games as the PS2 but more than the game cube. Every system has mature games, just avoid them. My 6-year-old DD loves the Xbox!

Just wondering where you heard that? I have yet to see any slowdown in games coming out for all three systems. As a matter of fact, there are lots of new games that we are "pre-selling" that are for all three. There has always been games that Nintendo does not produce for their platforms, but they have reasons for that.

jtm is right, Nintendo has the worst 3rd party support of the big three consoles. The Gamecube has the unjust image of being a 'kiddie' system (dispite mature titles such as Eternal Darkness and the upcoming Resident Evil 4) and due to this many mainstream gamers tend to steer away from it. When a company releases a multi-platform game they check which version sells the best so if they release a sequel or similar game they may do something special for that version of the game. Traditionaly, the Gamecube versions of mulit-platform games tend to sell less than their PS2 and X-Box counterparts. Because they don't sell as well the company is reluctant to release new titles on that system. Combined with a lack of system sales due to its 'kiddie' image and small multi-platform game sales, less and less third party companies are developing titles for the Gamecube.
