Does anyone have any suggestions/reviews for Gamecube games for 4 year olds?

I've seen the Dora game but for 29.99 but it had terrible reviews. Is it really that bad?

Pooh's Rumbly Tumbly looked okay, is it really?

Which games are good for young kids as far as using the control. My DD can do some things on the PS2 SSX games but she really can only handle hitting 1 or 2 buttons at a time so I am looking for something easy.

She also can't read.

What about the Mario games? Like Mario-Kart?

We are getting Monkey Ball, Mario Dance Party 7 and Sonic DX, it came in the bundle from ToysRus.

I'd suggest Mario Kart. It's got cute, fun characters that a little kid would like and it's also not that hard to play. One finger on the gas button, the other hand controls the stick, and once in awhile you can press one other button to throw stuff.

I don't like Nintendo too much, but my little sister has me hooked on this game! :)

My son is 4-1/2 and loves the gamecube. His favorite game is Mario Party 4. He's getting MP7 for xmas. He also really likes Super Mario Sunshine too. We have Monkeyball and it's too hard for him. I don't think he'll be able to do that for a few years still. But, for adults it's a great game. That's really about all he plays on the GC.

Mario Party games are great! The Monkey Ball you mentioned is also a good one. Mario Kart is a good one. Donkey Konga is pretty easy once you get the hang of it. My 4 year old loves that one. My 4 yr old ds also loves Sonic the Hedgehog. Good luck!

Thanks everyone for their replies!

I went out today looking for a used copy of Mario Kart but they guy said they had one yesterday but its gone now! So I will try another store later this week.

I did pick up Monster Inc, Nemo and Pooh Rumbly Tumbly. Gamestop is running buy 2 used get 1 free. I may end up with 3 more titles by the end of the week!

My 4 year old loves the Monsters Inc game. It is basically a bunch of mini-games that he can play with me, my DH and our 8 year old. You have to pick up balls and throw them at other players and other things like that. He loves being able to pick from all of the Monsters Inc characters.

He also love MarioKart Double Dash but he is not good at driving. We play as a team and he is always the thrower.

Hope this helps

I hope someone that has helped me out so much already can help me out again!

I went out tonight and picked up 2 wireless wavebirds for the gamecube. But while at the store I saw they had Mad Catz wireless micro and wired micro controllers.

These micro controllers looked like a nice fit for my DD's hands and I was wondering how well they work wirelessly and if I can use them in conjunction with the wavebirds.

Also for those out there with young kids, do you think its worth getting a micro for my DD's wired or wireless?

I don't really know about the micros. But, I would imagine you can use them with other controllers because they plug into different outlets. We have the regular wireless and my son uses them just fine.
