Going to think about it since it does include the dates I wanted.

I just got this to for November. Blah. Not to excited about this pin!

I completely understand. I am thinking about it because my dates are historically blacked out for free dining when they offered for October in the past and the discounts have been few and far between.

I even tossed up the idea of just paying for quick service, but my daughter started talking about the character meals she wanted to do and I told her I thought we would skip them this year. Well, the look on her face, you would have thought I said that I shot Mickey. She will be 6 for this year's trip, and the reality is she probably will not want to do them much longer So I feel I need to capitalize on it now.

Our family always does at least one character meal, so we couldn't downgrade to quick service either. And I think that the discounts are going to start drying up a little bit, so maybe you are right to capitalize on it. Still though, it hurts to have to accept this when we're used to much better offers!

any idea if that pin covers Deluxe resorts? I got the same "Game on" email for July dates.

I would call. It does mention to call and ask about other dates and accomodations. I called to price my trip out and it was a savings of about $172. I thought it would be a little more, but I did not add the waterpark option to my package which is included in this deal.

The CM stated that this "Game On" basically gives you the park hopper and waterpark option for free.

I called and it turns out the 30% general public offer on the website was a better deal by about $400... the CM was very nice and said it always pays to check.

Has anyone had any luck applying this PIN to moderates or deluxes and upgrading to the regular dining plan? I know it says quick service, but I was just curious if anyone had called about upgrading. And, if you don't mind sharing, how much did it actually save you? I was hoping for the 20% off room pin, but hey any way to save money is a plus for me! :) TIA!:goodvibes

So just in case anyone is curious, I called Disney to see what I could get for this deal and here is what I was quoted.(Hopefully this isn't in violation of any rules)

Oct. 14th-Oct.22nd
7 day tickets with Park Hopper
Upgraded to Regular Dining
Caribbean Beach Resort Pirate Room
4 adults
$3957

When I priced out the vacations without the PIN on the Disney site the price was $4808, so if this calculates out correctly it looks like we save $852. Of course I am horrible with math so that could be wrong.:rotfl:

She also gave me some comparables as well..

Same stats
Port Orleans:$3686
POP:$3116

I hope this gives you all some idea of this deal! :) Just waiting on the go ahead from my mom and sister's for our girls weekend and it's GAME ON!! :goodvibes

My thoughts now since discounts are becoming fewer book you can always cancel or change the ressie at a later date

Call unless our pin already expired it may be good for other dates/and resorts. The pin DH rec'd was good for Dec 1-Dec 22 but when I called it was actually good from Oct 18-Dec 22

It looks like your ended up with roughly a little less than a 18% savings. DH rec'd a pin some months back for 20% off resort room rate Game On pin# which for us being only a party of 2 Adults is about the same as if FD was offered. I really was hopeing Disney was not cutting back on the discounts and something better would come along for our October trip but it surely does not look good for the 35-40% off we all became accustomed to.

I know.. I was hoping for something a little better. Last year I received 2 pins...one of them was the 20,30,40% PIN.. I was hoping that would be the PIN we received this year, but I agree with you, it doesn't look like it's going to happen.:sad1: So I figure I will book with whatever savings I can get and if something better comes along (fingers crossed) I will just cancel and go for the better deal. I figure I would be going to Disney regardless.. any extra savings is just money in our Disney vacation jar for our next trip!:rotfl:
