Gallery Preferred Seating for Fantasmic Cancelled

My wife just called today to get us reservations for the preferred seating for Fantasmic with the Gallery Seating and was informed that it has been discontinued.

Apparently, the Gallery went down for refurbishment and when it came back up they said that there will no longer be balcony service.

The only preferred seating is the one down by the River of America that comes with the boxed desert service.

The lady my wife spoke to said that this was the first day that they news was available to them about the discontinuation and she can hear many of the other people who answer phones having to deal with upset guest who cannot get it.

Also, the lunch at the Gallery that is part of the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour has been moved to another location and she didn't know what location that would be.

I just found out from my wife that the lady she spoke to didn't know if the closing of the balcony was permanent or not. They were just told that it is as of now closed. It makes me wonder if they found something structurally wrong with the balcony when they were doing the refurbishment of the Gallery

not really. I was told that they are planning to refurb Club 33 which is right next to the gallery. That might be the reason why the balcony is down.
