Gallbladder surgery yesturday/leave in 3 weeks

One thing I HIGHLY recommend is to take a small travel size pillow with you since not many airlines carry them now.

It will come in handy as a cushion between you and the seat belt. Place the pillow against your stomach then fasten you seat belt. Other wise it will be uncomfortable especially if you have a hard landing.

I was back to work 7 days after the surgery and at WDW 4 weeks after. We took it easy and made time to relax at the resort each day. I did have trouble with some greasy foods, still do occasionally, but my surgeon had warned me about it so I knew it was a possibility. Anything is better than the attacks I was having!

I didn't have my gallbladder out but my appendix decided to go 1 week before my Disney vacation this past Dec. 1 week before Xmas. We drove so that was hard for me the long 17 hr. straigh thru drive. I can only speak for myself I am glad I went but make sure you take some antacids because the gas No matter what kind of surgery seems to stick with you for a long while. And take your time. Oh I also fell while on vacation@ honey I shrunk the kids playarea( very slippery) so I went home with a bad lower back, and forgot about everything else.

have a great trip!

I had my gallbladder out in April of this year, and I'm still having complications. The current one is I have stopped eating again. All I can eat in a day is one dinner roll. My surgery went very well, but I'm so sick of feeling awful. I too am worried. I leave in 27 days and we are on the Dining plan. I'm hoping that I will be eating again. I want to eat the wonderful food. Good luck and hopefully you will be 100% soon.
