With my Galactic Starcruiser trip coming up in less than a month, I have some questions regarding transportation. I’m hoping someone who’s already cruised can answer these for me. I know the answers are probably on the main GS thread, but I’m really hoping to avoid the spoilers that I know I will see there.

I’m mainly wondering if Disney will provide transportation directly to & from your other onsite hotels before & after your GS stay? At the time I booked, they said they would, but later said the only Disney transportation would be from DS. And that the shuttle to DS on disembarkation day would leave too late, so everyone would have to hire uber/lyft etc…. Can anyone confirm how things are really operating now that GS is open for business.

Because I'm procrastinating, I searched "voucher" in the GS thread for you and here's what I found:

"We stayed at All star Music the night before. They could not do a luggage transfer like we have done the past between Disney resorts. They called a Mears taxi for us and a cast member gave the driver a voucher when we arrived at GS."

"I just checked in to Old Key West resort and asked about luggage transfers for tomorrow for my Star Cruiser trip. They are not doing luggage transfers. Instead you can get a taxi at the resort and they will voucher it on your arrival at the star cruiser. They are also doing 12pm check out for people going there. The same type of policy would be in place for luggage after disembarking star cruiser where they will voucher the taxi. At least that is the current plan I was told at the resort although I'm sure there will be procedural differences the next few weeks."

"Can confirm what others previously said. They don’t do luggage transfers but offer a voucher for a taxi. Buses from there to Disney Springs don’t run until 11am and they won’t hold bags that long."

"My family had four adults on the Star Cruiser and we had a personal vehicle. Two people went in a taxi to the Starcruiser (from Old Key West) just with the luggage we intended to bring into the hotel and received the voucher at the check in. The other two of us drove over for the valet parking and left our groups non-Star Cruiser clothes in the car for the trip. On checkout we did the same and the pair went to our next hotel in the cab with a voucher and we followed up in our personal vehicle. They weren't doing the typical Disney luggage transfers."

Wow! Thank you so much for doing this. I would have been very thrown if I’d been surprised by the lack of luggage transfer service since that is the one thing they’ve consistently said could be counted on. Now I can plan ahead accordingly. Thank you again!!!
