Remember...6 of it was during the first 2 weeks...mostly water and the flush! I've been averaging 2 lbs a week since then...which is more normal. I'm just excited that I've been sticking to it so well.

Just been exercising and eating right. A friend and I usually meet up at curves...do our 30 minutes..then go for a walk for 40 minutes..it's been so nice outside. But today...we did the curves thing..then decided to double the walk...so 80 minutes of walking outside! It was great. We both have stuff to do tomorrow..so Curves will be the only workout for me. My measurement day is Monday...so, I'm anxious to see how Curves is working for me. I know it gets me going each day...and I like that.

I'm almost to 6 weeks of re-WISHing!! Food is almost automatic anymore. No cravings...no starving...just doing what I have to do. I did subscribe to the Weight Watchers magazine...I had bought a copy in the store last month and loved reading it! Just stinks that it's EOM! So I wait for the March/April issue!

Taking it one day at a time!

Hey Gail - You have such a great attitude about the whole thing and that's why it's going to work for you. Sounds like you have a goal and your determined to reach it. 2 pounds a week is awesome and if you keep that up, you'll be at your goal in no time. Stay focused, keep drinking that water and inspire the rest of us :sunny:

Gail,

You are doing such a great job! I love how focused and positive you sound in your posts!

I also like what you said in your last post about taking it one day at a time. I think that is an important key (that I often forget) on this weight loss journey we are all on.

Gail, I am so sorry to hear about your DH's friend. Please know that we will keep all of you in our prayers. :grouphug:

We will also be praying for a lot for your home as well. We have a 3/4 of an acre lot for sale if you are interested.... it's in Ohio though. :teeth:

Have a great evening!

Wow, Gail
I just got caught up on your journal. You are doing fantastic! Don't look back to last year-- look forward to your thin future :)

Is the WW magazine any good? I've never subscribed. Let me know!

I hope you can focus on the great things about building your new house. I can give you a list straight from my 1956 fixer-upper if you'd like ;) We could start with WIRING!!!!!!! I came home a couple of days ago to find a lamp plug out of the wall with the recepticle still attached! DD bumped the cord and the outlet broke off with it. Luckily, I'm pretty handy and replaced the outlet the same day but the wiring headaches never end around here!!!!! Then there's the leaks, the loose tiles in the bathroom.............

I hope your DH is doing better. What a terrible tragedy. It must be so hard to process such a loss.

Sunny

Happy Friday! Today will end my 6th week being OP and NO cheats! That is an accomplishment in itself! We're still hunting for property..it's such a pain. We only started this process a few weeks ago..so I feel for those that have been going through it longer. It's just that when you start to set your mind to something...I want it done yesterday! :confused3 It will happen though!

Sunny...I picked up a WW mag in January and really liked it...it was full of REAL people!! I hate reading some of these magazines for people who have lost weight and their stories...they sound like it was so easy...while the WW mag seems to show that you will struggle with this day in and day out! I passed it on to a friend and she loved it too! I'm not doing WW, but I just love reading real testimonials. I don't doubt those other testimonials in other mags. I just really enjoyed this mag.

Have a great one!

Hi, Gail! Wow, 6 wks cheat free?! That is great and it really is a huge accomplishment! You should definitely reward yourself for it...maybe buy something for yourself or something like that. You no doubt deserve it! As for the property I will pray that you find something soon. My mom, stepdad, and 2 younger brothers are all currently looking for property as well. So I know it can be a pain. We were lucky b/c Scott's grandfather gave us our land before he passed. Unfortunately we live too close to the inlaws and that can be a pain. Oh, well, the land was free, so I guess that is the price we had to pay! ;) :teeth:

Way to go on 6 weeks cheat free! That is great!!! :cool1: Keep up the great work!!!

Well...some bad news for me to report...I went way off plan last night! Wasn't any kind of stress or anything...just went out for a real nice meal...and totally over ate! Oh well...I have to dust myself off...and get back with it today. :teeth:

Gail - Don't even worry about it. We all have days like that. You forget about yesterday, and get right back on the program today. Drink lots of water and you'll be fine.

Don't worry Gail!!! I did too! Today is a new day! :flower:

In my last post I said you should give yourself some kind of reward for doing so well lately. I would count this as your reward or a Valentine's gift or whatever makes you feel better. I don't think one day is going to hurt you. You deserve to indulge every once in a while. And like others said, today is a new day.

Uggghh! I got back on track yesterday...went to Curves today and then did a 30 minute walk...went to lunch at Olive Garden w/ some friends...had soup and salad and breadsticks...went overboard on breadsticks. Today being Valentine's Day...I had a couple pieces of my Valentine's day candy...and I know dinner will be bad tonight! That's really okay because I know what I'm doing! Who am I fooling!! I know what I'm doing is not okay! Back on plan tomorrow!!! I just need to get through today so I can regroup!

As far as my Curves weigh in...I've lost 8.5 lbs since joining curves...lost 9 inches...and 1.5% body fat!! Clothes are fitting better! Can't wait for next month...as long as I get my rear in gear! :teeth:

Happy Valentine's Day!
