GAIL BABY! So good to see you! I hope you had a wonderful vacation! Can I also just add a thank you for removing your countdown clock once your vacation was over... just a small pet peeve when I see them in people's signatures and they say something like "spending Christmas with Mickey" and it's from the previous Christmas... :eek: Ahem, anyway, THANKS! :teeth:

Can't wait to hear more from you and good job getting through day 2! Those first days back on plan are the hardest for sure!
 
I'll try not to get too winded here! The trip to Universal was AWESOME!!! We had the best time. We stayed at club level at Hard Rock. The kids had a blast! My husband is so spoiled now...before it was just the FOTL..but now it's club level as well! Weather was beautiful and the crowds weren't too bad...although at City Walk Saturday and Sunday was the 6th Annual Beer Festival...so you can imagine the crowds there. But the trip was still great!!

We went to Spring Hill, Fla. for the week of Thanksgiving. I loved it there. Went house hunting and model home searching. I'm going back the day after Christmas for the week. It is such a nice area. Although I doubt I get to move there for a couple more years...but keeping my fingers crossed it will be sooner.

Day 3 has started and I've still got the momentum going...I really haven't started back exercising...but food has been good. And drinking lots of water! Thanks for the welcome back Tera & Michelle!

Good job on getting right back at it and trying to eat better. The exercise will come soon after I'm sure :D

So glad to hear all went well on your trip - sounds amazing!! Where is Spring Hill in FL? Is it near Orlando? We're planning to move in 7 years or so and I'm already checking areas out....LOL!!

You're back on the healthy eating wagon - YAY!! It's not an easy thing but you'll feel great, honest! The exercise motivation will kick when you start to see and feel the weight loss.

Hope today is a great one! :daisy:
 
Hi, Gail! Glad to see you are feeling better and that you had a great vacation. I figured that vacation would help get you out of your slump. I still wish I had gone with you, of course, but I would like to think that I can live vicariously through you when you are having a great time! lol
 
Gail, I'm glad to see that you're still going strong! :cool1: If I'm in a better place (i.e. if I have a job or I stumble upon a hidden treasure) maybe we can get together at Disney or something when you're here after Christmas if you would want to. :)

Doe, Spring Hill is probably about an hour, maybe a little bit longer away from Disney. :)

Hey guys...thanks for stopping by! I'm still doing the struggle to get my butt in gear...which I really need to do...because it's getting tighter in my pants!! I start each day with such focus...then it all falls apart somewhere.

Doe..Spring Hill is on the west coast as well as being an hour away. Beautiful area!

Michelle...I'm riding w/ my parents this time...or else I would say...let's go!! I would still like to meet up w/ you sometime! How far are you again from Spring Hill...they are just before Weeki Wachee. What did you think of the Nanny reunion? I thought it would be more!

Tasha...did you find out what that baby is yet??? I can't believe how far along you are now!!

Tera...that beer festival was a mess! It looked like Girls Gone Wild!!
 
After trying so hard to get back on track then falling off several times...I'm happy to say that I got my butt in gear this morning and took a walk! It's so hard to believe that a couple months off exercising can make me feel so out of shape!! :earseek: I'm taking it slow to start off..but hey...I did it!!
 
Yay for Gail!!! The first steps are sometimes the hardest to take! Now that you've got one walk in, I bet it will be easier to walk again tomorrow or Wednesday!

Well, I made it through the holidays and another trip to my parents house in Florida. I stepped on the scale yesterday morning...227...so at least I have a starting point. I feel so cliche' by starting on New Year's day! Didn't get in any exercise yesterday, but food wasn't bad.
 
Hi Gail - Good job on eating right yesterday and don't worry about the exercise. It's a new year to get back on your program.
 
Still doing well with eating. Not feeling any urges yet.

As far as goals go...my first goal is to get to 200. From there I would like to be at 180 before I go to Disney in June. It's gonna take lots of dedication on my part. As long as I can maintain my focus, things will be good.
 
Hi Gail -

That's totally doable and I know you have the determination to get to your goal for June. Keep a journal of what your eating and try and get in as much water as possible.

BTW - Love your new ticker :D
 
Thanks Tera! I'm hoping it's doable. My husband and I both signed up for the Body Challenge...it's really fun playing with the model.(I know, simple stuff amuses me) I'm going to look at weight watchers today too. I've been keeping up the water...and food is going good. For Christmas I got the Firm Body Sculpting set...with the step (it was 59.99 at Target) So now I'm just looking for the motivation to do it! How funny is it that I was exercising so much like 3 or 4 months ago. I really did sink into a funk that was hard to get out of! Right now I'm easing my way back in...and I'm still gung ho after 5 days.
 
Gail - I think WW is what I needed all along and just wish I had joined earlier. Better late than never right :earboy2: Sounds like you've got a great plan in place and I know you'll get modivated. I find if I have the right music, it helps with my workouts. I can't walk on the treadmill or do cardio if I don't have my MP3 player (died on me today :earseek: ) Try putting together a really good CD just for your workouts. I can't wait to see your tracker move :D
 
GAIL! I'm so glad to see you back! You are off to a great start! ::yes::

You really were on fire a few months ago, you were kicking mine and Tasha's butts! Just remember that, you were doing it then, you can SO do it now. Just ease back into it and you'll be back in action in no time!

How is your daughter doing? Is she still maintaining, lost anymore? :)

BTW, I joined the NBC too and had a blast playing with the model as well so, simple pleasures for simple minds as they say. At least we're in good company! :teeth:
 
Everything is still on track. I did a few stretches last night and had to bowl. Some exercise I guess. I was really becoming obsessed w/ exercise last time..I guess w/ the challenge and all. Then I hit a wall! Such is life! Well...as you know...I'm a scale peeker...and I've been very happy w/ my results so far this week...can't wait to post on Saturday. Yes...weigh in is on Saturday for me...which is much better than my Monday weigh in where I would mess it up over the weekend..and the Friday weigh in where I thought I could celebrate over the weekend! Saturday is it! There is just no celebrating over the weekend!

Thanks for your encouraging words Michelle. Unfortunately, Amanda has fallen into the same patterns as me! But she has started back too. Eating out has always been my biggest problem..and by not eating out I should be able to lose as well as her...but I'm hoping to save some $$$ too! I guess meal planning is the key! I got the idea for the NBC from your journal Michelle. So thanks for posting it!

Food wise...I've been doing great.. I've been combining low fat w/ low carb. I'll give that a try for a couple weeks and if it doesn't seem to work then I'm going to check out weight watchers. I know what I need to do. I just need to maintain focus and the determination to lose! And get my butt in gear for some exercise.
