So, we have 2 in our family of 3 that have GAD vouchers. I can get 5-day hoppers and apply the vouchers to 2 of the tickets OR get the fp.

The difference would be 70.00. Do you think it's worth it to get the fp?

We are going May 1-5.

For those who have used them I'd love to hear your thoughts :)

I am curious about this too.

Could someone remind me which rides the GAD FP's are good for and for how many FP's?

I read on the WDW theme park board that each FP was good for 3 FP's for 3 different rides. :confused3

In theory I think you could get between 4 and 8 FPs for each person in your party.

In reality, every post I've read here with people who got the FPs (which in fairness is probably a sample size of 2!) has gotten 6 FPs, which are valid for rides that offer Fastpass only (sorry; no TSMM). There's some great info at http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2296674

special fastpasses available for AP & multi-day ticket holders (Hawleys reported receiving 3 of each):

Daisy's Favorites:
Autopia
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters
Grizzly River Run
Mulholland Madness

Donald's Favorites:
Indiana Jones
Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin
Space Mountain
Splash Mountain
California Screamin'
Soarin' Over California
Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

Personally, I'd keep an eye on crowd levels on the DISboards as the date draws nearer. If it looks like the parks will be quite busy, then I would say it's worth it to get the FPs. You're going over a weekend so I would think the passes would probably be at least somewhat useful. On the off chance that World of Color is running during your trip, I think they would be absolutely invaluable.

Have a great trip!

Thanks for your thoughts and info...I have a HUGE feeling WOC is NOT going to be ready by then....and I'll check crowds as our trip gets closer :)

We were just there and went with the FP option. We got a strip for each person in our group whether they volunteered or not. Each strip had three of Daisy's favorites and 3 of Donald's. They are only good the one day though so we redeemed ours on separate days.

It was pretty busy this weekend so they came in really handy. Especially for when we'd spent most of the day in DCA (I have no idea - it's what they wanted to do) and then hopped at closing.

The old FP system works just fine for us so I would use the $70 wisely.

Understood!

I'm seriously thinking it's NOT going to be that busy AND with the regular FP system we should be fine! 70 bucks is 70 bucks!!! Thanks!

We used the GAD fast passes - it was always our intention to use the fast pass option with our regular hopper tickets. My theory was a one day hopper was $70 BUT the fast passes no amount of money could buy since they aren't for sale. We also used regular fast passes to max out the number we had.

I am unclear on something...

With the deal of buy 3 get 2 days free passes, can you use the GAD voucher? Can those passes be bought at the gate?

NO THEY CANNOT BE PURCHASED AT THE TICKET BOOTHS PER DLR'S WEBSITE!!!

5-Day Park Hopper® Bonus Ticket for the Price of 3 Days

Offer not available at Disneyland® Resort Main Entrance ticket booths. Valid for use from May 1, 2010 through September 29, 2010.

Includes 2 Days FREE**!

So 5 day PH (ticket booth price) minus the GAD value = $177
5 for 3 ticket = $184

So the GAD value is now only $7 per ticket!!

Oooh I am glad to find this I was just talking about this on my dining booking thread. We will have GAD passes also. I was thinking of using them as FP though because WOC should be running and most US kids are out for summer. Even though SC AP are blocked for most of our trip I think we will need the FP. We are not doing any weekends only weekdays. What do you think?
