Can I do that? I would like to use my voucher before the Dec 15 cut off date. I would like to apply it to a FL res seasonal pass...but not until my NEXT trip in January....just for budget reasons.

I'm not 100% positive but I don't believe you will be able to do that because the GAD pass will be a used ticket and will have no value after the day that you use it, especially after it completely expires (used or not) after Dec. 15th. if I'm understanding correctly how we can use our GAD passes towards our FL SAP this is what we are doing - We are going in Nov. and will be using our GAD passes on day one, later in the day we will have that ticket applied to our FL SAP and pay the difference.

The GAD voucher must be redeemed no later than December 15. The ticket must be used on the date the voucher is redeemed or the ticket will become void. If it is redeemed on December 15th the last day for validity for any upgrade is December 28.

And in any event the effective date (and related expiration date) for the SP would be the date of first use of the GAD ticket.

Note, however, that you will be able to take the GAD ticket and use it as the down payment under the Monthly Payment Plan; I expect the puchase at a window or upgrade will be available long before December.

Thank you both for the responses. I kind of figured I would have to do something with the GAD the day I decide to use it. I was hoping otherwise.

Yes, maybe the monthly payment plan will work. DH and I are torn...we take a "big" trip to WDW every fall, but we really have to scale down this year due to finances. The payment plan might be just what we need.

BUT....if we aren't going again until January...I am trying to do the math...maybe I should just use my GAD ticket in Oct...then buy the FL resident seasonal pass in january and do the payment plan at that time? That way we will have a year from January. instead of Oct. *sigh* I am so bad with numbers, just thinking out loud here.

Thank you again, both of you!

Assuming the back-dated expiration date isn't a problem, this could work (and CF can correct me if I'm wrong):

1) Redeem the GAD voucher on or before Dec. 15th
2) Upgrade the GAD ticket to a 3-Day or 4-Day FL Resident ticket
3) Sometime before the 180 day limit for those tickets, upgrade to SP
