GAD Voucher Redemption and Drop-off Location?

Hi! I'm back again with another question. I am going with DH next week to DLR for two days. We'll be arriving in Anaheim Easter evening at the Doubletree Suites about 9pm or so.

Here is my dilemma/situation:

I have a GAD voucher to redeem. I would like to redeem it for the 2 day PH. I know that I have to redeem it at CS or Will Call (right?) and then they will send me to a ticket booth to upgrade it to the 2 day PH. At that time, I will also buy a 2 day PH for DH.

Now, we will be walking to DL from the Doubletree at 7:00am Monday morning. The park opens at 8:00am. We should get there around 7:30am. Will this be enough time to do the voucher/upgrade thing? Or should I try and do it the night before? I know that I will not be able to get DH out the door earlier than 7:00am and we would rather not stand and wait for the shuttle.

If we do go the night before, is there somewhere DH can drop me off and then pick me back up after I get the tickets?

I'm glad you asked. I drive down Monday and go on Tues. So this info will help us too. If I have to do it the night before then I will.

You have to use the GAD voucher the same day you redeem it, so you won't be able to do it the night before.

Theme park ticket must be used on the same day as redemption.

Duh. The funny thing is that I read that on a different thread before I posted my question. Did not penetrate my brain apparently.

Are the ticket booth lines really long in the morning? I'll see if I can budge DH out the door earlier...

No big deal. We'll just get there and deal with whatever lines there are. I'm hoping that a lot of people will have left over the weekend or if they have Easter Monday off, that they'll be traveling home that day. We'll see.

From what I have read in other threads, if your DH has GAD you are redeeming for him, he must be present. If it is just yours and you are purchasing his, nevermind.

Do you still have to redeem it the day of if you're using it to upgrade?

My DH doesn't have a GAD voucher, just me. He's a last minute addition to the trip.

I think you have to use the first day of your multi-day pass the same day you redeem your voucher but I could be wrong.
