I am visiting WDW in June, staying thru 4th of July. We have 4 GAD passes. Can we upgrade them to 8 day passes, PLUS the waterpark AND hopper options? If so, do they discount the full $79 1 day admission off of the upgrade price? If so, I will need to cancel the ticket portion off of my package so that I am just paying for the room and dining package and buy the park tickets when we arrive, correct?
Are there a limited number each day that are honored? What time do we need to arrive the first morning to get the vouchers redeemed?
I am very confused by the whole GAD process.

I'm sorry but if you cancel your tickets you will automatically cancel the dining.

A package is room plus tickets plus (optional) dining.

And you cannot apply the GAD voucher or ticket to an existing package.

As long as you have a package with dining you effecively have only two choices:

One is to use the GAD ticket and upgrade it to what you need, and save the ticket that comes as part of the package to use on a subsequent trip. Note that regular tickets do not expire if unused, the expiration clock only starts runiing when they are put through a turnstile.

The other is to get one of the alternates, either the Fastpass Eschange Cards or the figurine with pins.

This is taken from the Ticket Sticky:
If you have a currently valid annual or multi-day pass in your possession to have three alternate choices instead of the one-day, one-park pass. This pass cannot be any sort of complimentary ticket

Does this mean if I have 3 days left on my Magic Your Way non expiry tickets, I cannot use my GAD tickets?

I think you are misreading it a bit.

If your case you have a valid multi-day ticket (a valid multi-day ticket is any ticket other than comp tickets that have a total of used an unused days of at least two, and at least one unused day). So you have additional options available to you.

- You can use the GAD voucher to get the one-day ticket. You can use that for one day, and use the rest of your existing ticket for 3 more days.

- More economically, if you know that you will have a future trip where you will only need 3 days, use the GAD voucher to get the one-day ticket and upgrade it to the length of ticket you need, and save your existing ticket for the future trip.

- Don't get the one day ticket, and instead opt for one of the three alternate options:

  • Fastpass Exchange Card
  • Special Ear Hat Figurine and exclusive trading pins
  • Donate a 1-day ticket to one of several organizations

please forgive me as I don't quite understand this part of it. If I want to upgrade the gad tickets to 7 day water park fun and more tickets, I will still get the single day base ticket value of $79 towards the multi day ticket purchase? Also, would this also then mean that if I want to purchase a 7 day base ticket, it would only cost me $155.00 oop plus tax? One last question...if my 8 year old volunteers, and she has a voucher toward her ticket, it would only be the value of a child ticket (about $68 I think) towards her 7 day multi day ticket? I just want to make sure I understand fully before going to will call. Thanks so much, I really appreciate it :)

You've got it right on all counts.
