GAD ID question and July 4 question

For my kids--My DD has a driver's license, so no copy of her birth certificate should be necessary, correct? Also, if DS has a military ID, will that suffice? Or should I bring a copy of his birth certificate just in case. For DH and I--does it matter whether we have DL or military ID on us? .


Also--I'm still hoping what I read here a while back is correct: I can use the GAD voucher for the FP option, even on July 4? What do you think my odds are of trading in for FP card at noon on July 4 at DHS--or Epcot?

A copy of a birth certificate is acceptable for a child under 18, but if they have another suitable govt issued ID, that is preferred.

As for the military ID, I'm not sure. CF might be able to say for certain, but if it has name, address and picture on it, it is probably OK - but unless someone can confirm it before then I'd bring a BC copy just in case.

Yes on the FP option. As for the timing - during peak times with park closures around Easter, they still didn't restrict how late people could get the FPs - at least no one reported otherwise.

Yes, it's got his photo, DOB, other info on it. Hopefully CF will chime in here. Otherwise, I'll just make a copy of the BC--in case.

Any Federal or State issued photo ID is acceptable. If you are talking about a DD1173 that definitely is included. The only time a birth certificate is needed is for someone under 18 without a state or federal issued photo ID.

Yes, a birth certificate is only if the person under 18 does not have a passport, DL, State ID, DD1173, etc. Any of the photo IDs are actually preferable.

FYI--The military ID for DS13 worked just fine.
