Hi,

I'm having difficulty wrapping my head around the GAD FP details. Especially the whole 'Donald - Daisy' thing. Bottom line it for me, someone - if I go to MK with my GAD voucher, and ask for the FP option, and I'm with 5 other people in my group, what, exactly, will I get, and what rides, exactly, will I get these FP's for?

Thanks so much in advance!

Perhaps this will help: Give A Day Fastpass

Each person will get a card, and can use it as describe on that page.

I'm still pretty confused - maybe it's because the FP program is random? Here's what I read at that link:

In general, you will get between 2 and 4 FASTPASSes per card from each group. The number can vary by park and day, but there is no known way to predict it. 3 seems to have been the most common number. If it is 3 on that day, what you get is three FASTPASSes for any combination of Donald rides, and three FASTPASSes in any combination of Daisy rides. You do not choose them in advance - you choose by putting the Exchange card into the kiosk of the ride you want.

So you have no way of knowing how many FP you'll get, or what rides you'll get them for - you just put the card into a special FP machine and a surprise pops out at you?

Again, my brain is having trouble wrapping around this - is it like the lottery?

Sorry, it is NOT random. It is a known amount at least when you get the FPXC and will be explained on the sheet they give you that explains it. It is determined in advance for that day/week/whatever time period they choose at that point.

So far this year, all reports indicate you get 3 from each group.

I'll try and clarify that on the page.

Thanks, Doconeill - I'm a bit slow on the uptake, I guess ;). Can you also clarify for me - the whole 'groups' thing - does that mean that some FP will get one of the groups of rides, and other FP will get the others? Because that could mean that if I'm in a group of 6 people who all are using the GAD FP, we could all get different FP?

wait, I read it again, then read it outloud, then had a cup of tea and read it again - and NOW it makes sense.

Amazing that they let me drive a car :)!

and

:lmao:

I'm glad I wasn't having a "cup of tea" or it would've been all over the computer!

OK, one more question, then I should have all the info!

I get the three Donald, three Daisy. But what I don't get yet is, can I use all three of my Donald or Daisy on the same ride? Meaning, can I put my GAD FP card in the machine at Splash Mountain and get a FP, then get two more for the same ride? Are there the same restrictions on how many FP you can have at the same time (which might be an issue if you have to wait 2 hours between GAD FP and you have a total of 6 (3Donald, 3Daisy) - you'd have to be in the park for 12 hours, which at times isn't even possible).

So I guess the short version of my question would be, could I realistically be holding 3 GAD FP for, say, Splash Mountain at the same time?

Thanks,

KC:banana:

GAD fastpasses are not controlled the way regular FP are. You get a FP for Splash Mountain and then immediately go on the ride with the FP.

Then you can get another for the same ride or a different ride.

The link from a PP shows the rides at each park. You can use three of any rides for Donald and three from Daisy.

I have to remember to do this the next time I'm having "one of those days" :cool1:

Suppose I choose to use my DD's GAD Voucher to get the FP. There will be four of us (wife, DD, DS, and me). We show up with our other tickets (suppose all four of us are AP's) and DD's voucher and go to the window. They will give us four FP cards (one for each person in the group) - each of which we will be able to use for 'up to 3' rides in each group (I get the number can change based on a lot of things). Is that right?

I guess the question is - DD's ONE voucher is good for up to SIX FP's, right?

Thanks for your patience... Geez - i'm asking the kinds of questions I roll my eyes about when others ask me!!! :rotfl2:
